A Collection Part 39

Would you believe that it has already been 4 months since our last “A Collection Part” post? I can already hear Veronica’s voice in the back of my head saying, “I can.” Every time I speak to the girl, she’s always asking for another one. Little does she know, constructing these take forever! Good news though, I’ve already started building Part 40 so hopefully we won’t have to wait as long for the next one, but if she had it her way, it would be every week.

Making this post this time around was quite refreshing to me. Veronica once asked me how I choose the pictures that I do for this post and I don’t know if I was ever able to give a great answer. I probably just said that I chose the pictures I liked, but I’d like to elaborate on that a little bit. I used to do a bit of photography back in high school and in the early days of college, I brought my camera with me everywhere I went. I love that these photos are being taken in ways that I never thought of before. They are various shots that spark something in me, but I have no idea what it is and because I can’t explain it or put it into words of some sort, I love it. Maybe that’s not a better explanation than before, but it makes sense to me!

Golden Globes After Parties

The red carpet is something that I always look forward to around award show season, but second in line to that is definitely the after party. Most celebrities have a second dress for the event and needless to say, we’re always interested in seeing second looks that aren’t as tame as the first one. Plus, we get to see a whole lot of celebrities that only get invited to the after party and not the award show itself. Sad day for them.

In Sad News Today…

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are splitting after 6 years together. The two have been separated for several months according to E! Kerr gave birth to their son Flynn in 2011 and were married for 3 three years.

‘After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation.’

The statement added: ‘Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.’

This is really sad! I always loved it when Orlando would come to her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to support her.

If You’re Going To Take A Selfie…

The other day I wrote a post about how selfies on Facebook/Instagram were overrated. That’s just putting it nicely. I didn’t say they were overrated, I actually questioned why selfies were being taken at all in the first place. Coincidentally, People Magazine just wrote a post about the ten ways you can take a selfie beautifully and I have to say that after reading this article, I might be changing my tune.

Example A. Miranda Kerr. Selfies are done best when they don’t really look like a selfie because of the outstretched arms. That’s not a comment by People Magazine – just a comment by me.

Miranda Kerr and Victoria’s Secret Part Ways

After multiple rumors swirled around last week that Victoria’s Secret had snatched Miranda Kerr’s wings from being an angel, the model has finally come clean about the breakup. Sources say that Kerr was “not a big seller for VS” (definitely not true!) while another source cited that she had a “difficult reputation.” Obviously, there was no truth to these rumors. Miranda is bowing out of her role as an angel because she’s a new mother and like many new moms, time off is kind of expected. Her priorities have changed and who can knock her down for that for wanting to be there for her 2-year old son Flynn with husband Orlando Bloom?

Miranda will surely be missed, but at least my favorite Lily Aldridge is still in!
