JP Cooper – What Went Wrong
Spotify’s “Discover Weekly” feature is amazing.

In case you missed it, Taylor Swift released the music video for her newest single “Wildest Dreams” last night during the pre-show of the VMAs and we’re in love with it. The first time I ever heard this song was a few weeks ago at her concert and really found myself mesmerized by it. I couldn’t wait for the video to be shot and released and now the video paints an even more vivid picture of the story. It’s very romantical and sweet and makes me confused because I cannot tell whether or not I have a love/hate relationship with Taylor. It’s probably love though.
It’s no Black Magic, but we still support it.
I once went through a phase where I ONLY listened to music like this. It felt like such California lifestyle when I was living in Seattle. Maybe it was a sign of the future.
That late night Tuesday jam
This is actually becoming a “thing” for me now. I even decided to follow Taylor’s Instagram account because I’m so curious to know every night who she’s going to bring out! Honestly, when I attended her concert last week, I think my co-workers have never seen me more excited for her to announce who the guest was and it’s weird because if I had to designate myself a percentage for how much of a fan I am, it’s 57%.
So last night, Taylor brought out the STARS! Uzo Aduba joined her as they sang “White Horse” together. Mary J. Blige sang two songs! And then Taylor brought out Sean O’Pry – the actor from her “Blank Space” video and … wait for it – Matt Leblanc and Chris Rock. HOW random is that? Now, I really suggest you watch the video above this because it. is. awkward. I was left with so many questions afterwards that I think I’m now starting to wonder if D-list stars are paying TAYLOR to appear at her shows. Man, she’s so powerful. And this video is so lol.
A deep and dark and mysterious Friday
I think this just made my entire Friday! A 7-year old boy who was diagnosed with autism at age 4 loves Taylor Swift so much that he memorized this piano medley for her of 1989. And it’s actually incredible.
Taylor has since responded to the young boy via Twitter and has invited him to one of her shows!
Just two days before Frank Ocean was set to appear at FYF Fest, he pulls out! His replacement? Kanye West of course. This is actually something that I’ve always wondered about having worked in the music industry, but I’ve never found the answer to. What happens when an artist flakes out on the lineup that they are supposed to be a part of? Does the artist leave the music festival organizers high and dry? Does the flaky artist help the organizers by coming up with a possible alternative for them like my interviewers do when they can’t make an interview? Unlikely. Does the artist get penalized/black listed from said music festival? I have so many questions.
However, the biggest question that I have is – where is Frank Ocean? He promised us that new album in July and we’re almost done with August. Now he’s pulled out of FYF which is making me even more concerned. Is the album not done? Will there even be an album? Honestly, I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time now and I hope that he’ll have a good reason for us when this is over.
Here’s the new FYF Lineup poster. Wow, those organizers worked really quick!
Have you noticed a pattern lately on Yow Yow?! Well we’re obsessed with Little Mix! This came long before I saw them at Taylor Swift and sometime after “Black Magic” was released. Yesterday, I watched a clip of the girls performing their song “The End” in which Perrie broke down at the end in tears. Going through a breakup is never easy. Going through a breakup and having to continue to go to work and be “on” at all times while promoting your new single and album is even more difficult. I think all of the mixers can agree that our hearts go out to the girl. Today, they killed it in their acoustic performance of “Black Magic” though and we hope Perrie is having a better day than yesterday! She certainly still looks phenomenal.
My older brother is celebrating his birthday tomorrow and this weekend I found a video that completely describes our relationship. What’s amazing about this video is that this guy knows such a vast library of music in different genres! Kevin used to drive me around. A lot. And almost always, you’d find me in the car singing loudly and horribly with dance moves to all of my favorite songs and Kevin just had to sit through it knowing that other drivers could see me. Yeah, can you believe it? I was worse than what this guy did to his sister on their road trip. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN! You’re so lucky to have a sister like me.
So I’m going to keep posting videos of their performance because that’s how much we love “Black Magic.” Sometimes I’m at work and wonder if I could be the fifth member of Little Mix.
