This was her first time performing “Love Me Harder” live on TV and it was nice to see The Weeknd join her for it. This is slated to be her next single released. Also The Weeknd totally outshines her on this performance. It feels like she’s really holding back and relying on the backing track for most of this song except for a few rifts.
I also loved how she started out with “Break Free” and was hoping that she would almost continue doing the whole song in this arrangement. Was it just me or did it seem like she was really tired when the song started picking up and she had to mildly dance along to it?
I grew up watching almost all of the reality singing television series, but none have ever really stuck with me as much as The Voice has. When I heard that Gwen Stefani and Pharrell were joining the judges’ table this season, I was excited, but I didn’t know if I had it in me to watch another season. I mean after six, you would’ve thought that we would have found all of the amazing singers by now. Not true. I caught the second day of blind auditions after work last night and was completely moved by two performances. I can’t believe I used the word moved. Let’s just say I liked them enough to throw them into a post and call it good.
Today we’ve got a Wedding Mondays / Song of the Day feature because the wedding we’re showing today belong to none othre than the lovely Kina Grannis. She decided to turn her wedding video into the music video for her song “My Dear” and we are loving all of the highlights including the 8mm footage throughout. The wedding music video actually was released on her first anniversary to her husband so it’s kind of sweet that she’s sharing this with all of her fans one year later.
Happy Monday y’all and a very happy birthday to my bestest Ashley! This Wedding Monday and most Wedding Mondays are dedicated to her!
We getting excited for the Hawks game today!
When I was more involved with music back in the day, I was used to seeing this sweaty transformation as seen above. It’s funny because you go into a show and you’re standing next to a gaggle of groupies oggling the musicians – the whole time I’m just thinking – seriously, just wait until you see them afterwards. It ain’t pretty. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed seeing this photo series entitled “Before/After” done by music photographer Brandon Anderson. I also think it’s quite interesting to see the comparison of both a soft and hard look that is visible in the before and after shots. In the before, the musicians look calm and at ease with themselves while the after shots show the musicians looking very hard and rugged.
Kevin got me into these two a long long time ago. I can’t believe they both have kids now! This was too adorable.
While I’m very excited to see Ariana Grande in concert, I’m pretty disappointed to hear that she is such a diva in person and especially to her fans! It’s such a bummer. I would never pay nearly $500 for her meet-and-greet package, but I remember what it was like to idolize a young pop star when I was a kid and having parents that will go to great lengths to make you a happy kid – including my father who accompanied me to my first concert at age 7. Spice Girls. They’re really a girl group… for everyone.
It has been years since I’ve gone to a concert that was such a huge production, but I was going to go the distance for Ariana Grande! I went as far as downloading some random app called “Fahlo,” and becoming a member of her fan club in order to buy presale tickets for a concert that won’t even happy until April. Additionally, because I was purchasing through presale, I had to pay an additional fee that gained me points on “Fahlo” – an app that I don’t care about at all. An additional $25! WHAT.
It’s worth it, I think. I have decent seats and I’m not going to be on the floor, which means that my vision of the stage isn’t going to suck that badly. I am so excited. ARIANA GRANDE LATTE!
