Welcome to the Bubble

Sports are back! Sort of. Over the weekend, Kevin told me that Matisse Thybulle has been documenting his return to the court and life in the “bubble” since COVID all began. The series started sometime in early July, but it’s already picking up a lot of attention. His vlogs have been getting over a millions views and he’s already been reached out to by the New York Times and LA Times. As someone who’s been watching it on my lunch break, I’m really enjoying it! They are quick snapshots of what’s been going on in the bubble including what basketball looks like right now and regular testing of course.

Thybulle, himself, is actually very entertaining to watch. Additionally, he’s responsible for all of the editing and recording on his own. We’re not sure how long he’ll continue on with this project, but regardless, when this ends, we hope he’ll keep up his side hustle.

A Golden State Warriors Win

For our team’s offsite, we decided to attend a Golden State Warriors game. It wasn’t just any game though. It was last week’s GAME 5 where the Warriors learned that they were going to the NBA Finals! It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a basketball game and even though they aren’t my Supersonics, it is still just as exciting. I’ve really taken a liking to Steph Curry these last few weeks and even moreso to his adorable daughter Riley who completely steals the show at all of these post-game press conferences. Our seats were pretty good and I never felt like I had a difficult time seeing what was happening like I did when I went to my first football game. It was just exciting almost every second that we were there and so fun! I really took every advantage I could to ham it up.

Go Warriors! My prediction is that the Warriors will win in game 6 and Riley Curry will be at 4 post-game press conferences. I think I’m already going to be wrong about that last one though because I have yet to see her!
