I wish I could say that I made up that word, but when I typed it into Google I found that it already existed. This summer, artist Suzanne Tidwell will be decorating the trees of Seattle’s Occidental Park with endless yarn. Apparently, this act is called “Yarn Bombing” – just another reason for me to love it even more. Tidwell explains that her art is like a type of graffiti, but instead comes in knit form.
This isn’t the first time that Tidwell has “yarn bombed” before. She is actually pretty notorious for her pieces of work in the Sammamish area as well.
