Ash’s Last Bash

I almost called this post “Spring Breakers,” but decided to go with one of our hashtags instead. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be in Palm Springs twice this year – once for NYE and again to celebrate my best friend before she got married at her bachelorette party. Ashley gathered all of her best girls and we took over the prettiest home in the desert for the weekend. I’ve been to a handful of bachelorette parties now, but each one has always been true to each bride’s personality. Ashley’s was full of pizza, relaxing, and being in the pool for days. Curious to see how we spent the weekend? Click the cut for our mini photo journal.

Wedding Mondays

[vimeo http://vimeo.com/248063251]

Since we migrated the blog, I’ve been taking a break not only from Wedding Mondays, but posting entirely. Knowing that I would have to go back and change the formatting of some posts or re-learn how to use WordPress was extremely intimidating to me. Right now, I would say I’m on training wheels, but as the days go on, I’m starting to get more and more comfortable with the platform. Even though we’re close to Tuesday, I really wanted to post a Wedding Mondays video this evening. I’m about to head into my month of weddings with two of them in March – including the one for my best friend. I’ve never quite seen a video like this one and it was so soothing and relaxing to watch right before bed. Having just returned from Palm Springs and spending some time there in the last couple of years, I’m a huge fan of the desert weddings. Since the setting is so beautiful, there’s not much more that you need to add to it or DIY. It speaks so strongly on its own and is effortlessly gorgeous. I love everything about this wedding. Watch the video and then head on over to Green Wedding Shoes for their wedding feature.

Wedding Mondays

[vimeo http://vimeo.com/198133600]

Happy Monday! I am so excited to share this wedding video with you all this morning because it just happens to be done by Grimace Films – the same videographers that also did Mandi and Eric’s wedding this past fall! From the looks of this wedding, you would have no idea that Talia and Tim had their original wedding venue fall through six months before their special day, but everything in the end turned out to be okay for them. Surrounded by their friends and family, the happy couple still had their dream wedding set in Palm Springs at the Colony Palms Hotel. Also, I’ve never seen a wedding that included synchronized swimmers as part of the entertainment, but I like being surprised by the features that I see. Watch the video above for all of the darling details and join in on Talia and Tim’s day of joy! For the full feature, visit Green Wedding Shoes.

Let’s Get Shmandied!

screen-shot-2016-12-27-at-10-15-47-pm

This will be the first of many posts highlighting some of our trips from this year! I couldn’t wait to celebrate Mandi’s Bachelorette Party with her this past spring in beautiful Palm Springs! It was my first time there and it did not disappoint. It was everything I could’ve wanted in a weekend – sun, pool, drinks, and girl time. The weekend had a nice blend of activities and a little bit of something for everyone, but more importantly, everyone there just wanted to make sure that Mandi had the best last weekend before she was completely off the market forever, and this included heading to the liquor store and getting a little crazy!

Wedding Mondays

[vimeo http://vimeo.com/169641098]

Every Sunday, I hold my breath a little bit just hoping that there’s going to be a wedding video from the previous week that we can share with everyone. Last Sunday, as I was going through my usual roundup, I was really disappointed to find that there wasn’t even one that I loved. In fact, they didn’t even come close. Luckily for me though, I stumbled upon one last night – and I really needed a good one because I was going to see Jennie today while in Seattle.

What I love about this video even though there’s no dialogue, it looks like you’re watching a perfect film. I love the shots that were captured and her two-part dress and the way they made this wedding very Mexican themed to highlight something that was special to them, but that it took place in Palm Springs! I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen a wedding video from Max and Molly Films, but I am VERY excited about them.

Yup, I’m in love with her bridesmaids’ dresses as well. To view the rest of the feature, click here to visit Green Wedding Shoes!

The Inflatables You Need This Summer

We’re headed to an exciting getaway this weekend for Mandi’s Bachelorette Weekend and I’m getting more and more excited with every day. Mandi and I have honestly been talking about this for months and when I found out that we were going to the party, I was ecstatic. It’s my first time! There’s going to be drinks and food and fun galore, I can barely wait. The main thing I’m excited about, however, is the pool. I’ve always wanted to do my own pool design and build at home but never got round to it, which I regret now as it would come in very handy on hot days.

Speaking of, it’s going to be extremely hot this weekend and there’s no doubt that we’ll be spending a lot of our time in the water, which brings a bit of concern with it. Now I’m not talking about concerns like heatstroke or pool barrier safety compliance melbourne (though they are worth thinking about since nobody wants to slip and fall at a pool party). No, my main concern is staying afloat in this heat and I don’t think anything takes care of that more than a pool float. Inflatables are great to relax on when you tire out and besides, what’s a pool party without inflatables, right?

It seems like every pool party I’ve seen this year has had a smattering of assorted inflatables and my favorite ones? The ones that look like food! I believe we’ve got a partially bitten donut coming with us (you know the one we’re talking about!) but here are a few other ones that we wish we could take along too! Don’t be caught without one of these this summer or you’ll be experiencing FOMO. I actually went to a pool party and when I turned up, I was told that the pool had just had concrete resurfacing work done to it. It looked stunning and it was honestly the best pool party I had ever been to. The weather was great, the pool and deck looked gorgeous and I had so much fun!

Snaps for a Snapshot

Who: Selena Gomez

Wearing: Louis Vuitton

Where: Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 show in Palm Springs

I really love that Selena chose to go edgy and sexy with her look at the show this past week especially since she’s been getting some nasty comments on her Instagram about her weight. She is totally owning this look and look great!
