Paper Crown Bridesmaids

It was just a couple of weekends ago that Lauren Conrad and the entire Laguna Beach crew reunited for the wedding of their longtime friend Maura McManus. Their Instagrams from the big event were everywhere and as expected Lauren Conrad and her bbf Lo Bosworth as bridesmaids looked amazing. Shortly after the wedding, Lauren announced that Paper Crown – the line that both her and Maura co-founded would be unveiling a bridesmaid line. It was the same line that was used in Maura’s wedding and it was stunning. The collection is now up on their website and we’re huge fans. Not only are the silhouettes of the gowns gorgeous and modern, but will work so well for bridesmaids that wish to mix and match within color schemes or even not at all.

Your 2013 Holiday Party Dress

Banana Republic Seamed Ponte Fit and Flare V-Neck Dress – $130

It’s that time of the year! For the first time ever, I’m attending a holiday party for my company and this time – it won’t be in some sketchy dive bar in the middle of nowhere. I can toss that horrible, ugly, and itchy Christmas sweater aside and put on my favorite new dress for the season. Of course, I don’t own one yet, but that’s why we’re on the hunt! I actually helped a co-worker of mine find her dress before I found one and it looks fabulous. Job well done. Now, here are some options for both you and I!

Lauren Conrad releases more images for collection Paper Crown

I have never really been a huge fan on celebrity-endorsed collections, but I have always been a fan of Lauren Conrad. Believe it or not, I’ve got a soft spot for Paper Crown. I was weary about her fashion venture after being just a reality star, but the girl has proved us all wrong. In fact, she’s worked her butt off just to get where she was today and she’s been through a lot. I’m not just talking her public breakup with long-time boyfriend Kyle Howard or her beef w/ Heidi and Kristin. Earlier this year, her new reality series with MTV was dropped suddenly on the brink of the debut of her new collection. However, Lauren doesn’t need the network to promote her line. She’s been doing it herself all along. Here are just a couple of my favorite images from the new collection, but you can view more at the source.

Lauren Conrad | Paper Crown

Just seven years ago, Lauren Conrad was a high school senior in Laguna Beach turned MTV reality television star. Since then, she has become a published author with several best-selling books and a fashion designer now with two separate lines. What can’t this girl do? Recently, MTV announced that they were ending the production of what would have been her newest reality television show depicting her journey through her latest collection Paper Crown. While the publicity would have been incredible for her line, we all knew that she would be just fine even without it. Yesterday, Lauren Conrad finally debuted her collection of Paper Crown and it is exactly what we would have expected from her – a collection of clothes that we could envision her wearing herself. It is sweet, adorable, and subtle. The collection is geared to be more high end than her Kohls line, but to be honest, I don’t see much of a difference. I do believe that this collection may be at a higher price point than her collection for Kohls though.

Lauren Conrad’s Show is No Longer Happening

MTV has announced that they will not be airing the series that Lauren Conrad has been filming for the network. The reality series was set to follow the development of her new contemporary line, Paper Crown.

“We decided not to go ahead with the show,” David Janollari, Head of Programming for MTV, told EW.com. “She did do a pilot. There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that’s also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances…It was a great attempt but it just didn’t feel like a perfect fit for us now.”

Apparently, Lauren had no idea since she had mentioned news of her project in her Teen Vogue cover story not too long ago and was even photographed out and about while she was filming scenes.

Lauren’s statement in regards to the news:

“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”

Once again, MTV has attempted to ruin television by trying to manipulate every reality show into The Hills. While the series was successful and known for being scripted, Lauren Conrad was ready to graduate into much more sophisticated projects while clearly, MTV has not.

This is kind of a bummer because I was actually pretty excited to see what the show would look like and now it seems as if we never will. I’ve still got faith. Lauren has been and will continue to be successful even without the show. MTV – please say that this means you will finally be closing the books on this chapter.
