Celebrities Are Kind of Like Us

“Just recently I started letting myself eat things from the minibar. When we were kids, we would never open the minibar. A $6 Snickers bar? But the other day I was in a hotel and I was staring at a Snickers bar, and I finally just ate it. Then it was like something in me snapped. I opened all these drinks. I thought: I can do it now. Now I’m all grown-up. I can eat things from the minibar.” – Jennifer Lawrence

Oh my gosh. My parents would never even let me open up the minibar. I was a strange child – even though I knew I could never have it, I just wanted to be able to see what the hotel was offering and be able to rank them based on their goods. I like Jennifer Lawrence already because she’s like me!

So…who’s excited for The Hunger Games? It looks like I never achieved my goal of reading the books first so it’s looks like I’m going to have to just get on that film track.

10 Seattle Bands To Watch Now

City Arts Magazine is on point this month with the ten bands they have selected to highlight in their issue! On the cover is the energetic trio, Don’t Talk to the Cops, who I just saw last month at the SXSW Send Off show at the Tractor Tavern. I’m not sure how long these guys have been on the scene, but I am crossing my fingers for great things from them in their future. Other acts featured include:

  • Fly Moon Royalty
  • Gold Leaves
  • Sandrider
  • Motopony
  • Shelby Earl
  • OC Notes
  • Bryan John Appleby
  • Allen Stone
  • Pickwick

Fly Moon Royalty is sensational and a group I just started listening to. Allen Stone is kind of like the John Mayer to our Seattle. Pickwick is a dream and I have heard nothing, but good things about Motopony and Bryan John Appleby.

Seattle music, keep slayin’!

I’m not exactly sure how I feel about her new rendition of Snow White, but I absolute adore Lily for her style. Word on the street is that she’s also dating Zac Efron…he seems like a safe  guy ;)

Pharrell Williams Keeps Record of Outfits for New York Times

Oscar Hidalgo for The New York Times

Pharrell Williams is probably one of the best-dressed males in the music industry so it’s no surprise that the New York Times asked him to shed some light on his daily outfits for a week. Take a peek at what Pharrell is up to when he is typically working and what he wears while doing it.

THURSDAY, FEB. 16 A very rare day off. Aside from a few conference calls, I spent it at home with my family, so just put on a Gap white V-neck T-shirt, gray sweat pants and my oversized Mickey Mouse yellow slippers.

Whoa…Pharrell wears sweats.

  • Best Pop Solo Performance
  • Best Pop Vocal Album
  • Best Short Form Music Video
Last night, Adele took home six Grammy awards and I had no problem at all watching the Adele show! It also recently occurred to me that the singer is only 23-years old – I’m almost 22 and feeling inadequate about what I’ve accomplished so far next to her.

Kirsten Dunst For Vogue Italia Feb 2012

Melancholia may have been a slow film for me, but it was beautiful and whimsical and HEY – Kirsten Dunst made herself a comeback! Now she’s promoting her newest film, which is sort of like an indie “Bridesmaids,” and I can’t wait to see it.

The Breakdown of A Best Dressed Red Carpet Look

It’s been several weeks, but I still cannot get over how amazing Charlize Theron looked on the Golden Globes red carpet wearing Christian Dior. Today, NY Mag wrote an article breaking down every single aspect of her “best dressed” outfit including makeup and accessories. You won’t believe how much it’s worth and how little it actually cost the beautiful actress.
