Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture
Everyone kind of knew she’d be wearing Dior since she’s the new face and all, but no one expected her to look this flawless. The cinched belt at the waistline completes this look.

I absolutely love this gown on her. It’s so refreshing to see her not wearing black for once since most of her press outfits and even gowns on the red carpet recently have been black.
I spent most of the day watching the red carpet special for the Academy Awards yesterday as E! decided to start it around one if not sooner. Unfortunately, thirty minutes into the show, I decided to give up on watching it to spend my time with some great company. It’s alright – the red carpet is usually the main priority for me…that was until Ashley sent me a text that said, “We could have easily made tonight a drinking game,” which meant that I was missing a whole lot of highlights from the show.
I suppose I can just read about the rest of the stuff that happened during the show. I did, however, witness Sacha Baron Cohen as the Dictator dump Bisquick all over Ryan Seacrest’s Burberry suit. Just watching him trying to contain his anger over the situation was entertaining enough.
And with that, let’s get into some red carpet looks!
This morning, I woke up to the sound of Ryan Seacrest’s voice announcing this incredibly mainstream lineup that made me then roll over and continue to snooze some more.
These artists all WOULD be playing together.
They also WOULD play in a city like Las Vegas.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2011 Featuring:
The Black Eyed Peas
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2011 Featuring:
Sublime with Rome
Special guest performances by Sting and Usher
The rest of the lineup will be released later on in the summer. I will continue to not care so much about this. The comments that exclaim that this is “the best lineup they’ve ever seen!” are making me cringe.
One more thing – iHeartRadio? Really? Did Rebecca Black make this name up?
EDIT: Just found out that Ryan Seacrest created this festival. Let’s just leave it at that because I think you know where I’m going with this.

The other day I was watching E! News when they featured this band called Atomic Tom performing live on a subway in New York City. I thought to myself, “This is pretty rad!” because I love hearing about live performances from bands when they are unexpected. I figured that this little gig was something similar to La blogotheque where they film mainstream musicians and bands performing in public places in Paris. I continued to watch the clip on E! News when something Ryan Seacrest had said caught my attention. Atomic Tom recently had all of their instruments stolen, so they were performing with their iPhones! It hadn’t even occurred to me that that was even going on. Immediately, their cool factor increased ten points.
Atomic Tom has now received over 2 million views for this video and have been getting lots of buzz! A tip for bands trying to “make it.” Think big.
LAST GOSSIP GIRL related post of the day. Promise.
Cobra Starship just released their new single this morning on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show called “Good Girls Gone Bad,” which features my favorite favorite Leighton Meester.
We last heard her on the “Birthday” track with Awesome New Republic released last month. Things are looking good for Baby Blair! Can’t wait to hear her full length if and when it does come out.
