When I first moved to the Bay Area, my goal was to immediately find replacements for all of my favorite spots in Seattle. Samovar quickly bacame that for me as I needed to replace Remedy Teas on the hill. I’ve been to Samovar twice now at two different locations. Like Remedy Teas, Samovar serves meals, snacks, and a high quality selection of teas. I had read not too long ago that they were putting in a new location in the Mission that was supposed to be a very simplified version of their other stores. They weren’t kidding. There aren’t any meals here, but you can pick up a snack if you’d like. I’d almost view this location as an express Samovar because there’s no seating at all and you aren’t meant to be perched up here for awhile like you might at other locations. Beautiful though? Yes, of  course.
