Holiday Party Wear 2019

Gift of Love Black Backless Long Sleeve Bodycon Dress – $46

I did a first pass at the mall last week for holiday party dresses and while I wasn’t looking too hard, nothing called out to me. That’s never a good sign. I also realized that for the first time this year, I’m not looking forward to holiday party dress shopping. Mainly, that might be because I realized that whenever you’re hunting for something specific or under a timeline, you’ll never find it. Hence the reason why I found a dress a couple years ago over the summer months.

That only works maybe 50% of the time. Retailers prepare for holiday party season and create collections that come out right about now. The positive is that you’ll have a lot to choose from, but run the risk of having wearing the same outfit as another attendee. This year, I decided to try something I’ve never done before. Before writing this post every year, I always look at last year’s. There happened to be a dress from my guide in 2018 that is still available that I decided to purchase. Sure, it’s last season or last year whatever. It is, however, on sale and still something I’m interested in. Here’s to hoping it fits and that it has a generous return policy if needed. If all else fails, at least we have this guide.

Shoshi Games 2014

So whoever thought it was a good idea to pair Shoshanna with the Sochi Olympics was a creative genius. Personally, I haven’t watched a single event this year and I suppose we could blame that on work, Modern Family, and a few other things, but I feel like this Tumblr page tells me everything I need to know about the games. I’m kidding, it doesn’t. It just makes it slightly more entertaining to see our girl killin’ it as an athlete.

Ring In The New Year With These Dresses

Anytime alcohol is combined with evening wear, there is a chance of something going wrong. Your biggest concern should not be what you will be wearing the night of New Year’s Eve, but it should be to make sure that the dress is intact and shines throughout the entire night. We all know my personal stance on how alcohol can ruin a decent dress by making you look like a mess so I hope all of you will keep that in mind when you go out this holiday. And remember, the best accessory to wear with your dress is your confidence. A classy lady who knows how to have a good time without being too schwasted is a girl that will turn heads.

Holiday Season Brings Out the Prettiest Frocks!

Yesterday, I took a personal day at the mall to do a little retail therapy and to reward myself for finishing out this fall quarter.

I wasn’t sure if there were going to be any holiday parties while I was at home, but I wanted to be ready. I wanted to be sure that I could find a beautiful dress that would make me stand out and in all honesty, I’d rather spend money on a holiday dress than an “ugly Christmas sweater.”

Since I know we’re all looking this season, I decided to round up a few options from some of my favorite places to shop and browse at:

Stretch Velvet Double U-Neck Long Sleeve Mini Dress – American Apparel

Black – $42

Nothing feels more like holiday spirit than velvet!

Longest Night Dress – Anthropologie

$168
