Seattle International Film Festival

Not only is Seattle known for its music, they are also home to the Seattle International Film Festival, otherwise known as SIFF! Today marks Day 2 of the festival and it will run until June 13. I’ve never actually been to this festival, but I hope that I’ll get a chance to this year at some point. My friend just happens to intern for them and has been filling me in on some of the inside scoop. This year SIFF is paying tribute to Edward Norton which means… he’s probably going to be there. Edward freakin’ Norton!

The above screen shot is from Jenna Fischer’s new movie “A Little Help” playing during this year’s festival.

I can feel it in my bones

It’s going DOWN this summer. I’ve been amped on the Capitol Hill Block Party news all day, but let’s not forget my other favorite music festival that will culminate my entire summer. Bumbershoot turns 40 this year and they are celebrating it in 40 different ways. That’s better than my 2 1/2 week long birthday celebration.

This list begins w/ a kick off party on June 2nd at the Hard Rock Cafe. Along the way, we will have collaborations with SIFF, Flickr, Street team events, an exclusive flavor at Molly Moon’s and a SAM Remix – just to name a few.

The countdown begins now.
