Seattle Music + Late Night Television

It was a HUGE night for Seattle music on NBC last night. Allen Stone performed his single “Sleep” on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Macklemore went HAM with The Roots performing “Thrift Shop.”

I’ve got both performance respectively for you here and here.

Azure Ray – Sleep

The Devil Wears Prada is one of my favorite films and it just so happens that they’ve got a kick-a soundtrack as well. After catching it on television last night, I decided to jot down a song that I had heard and immediately had it on repeat while paper-writing.

Song(s) of the Day/Copeland Breaks Up

Today one of my favorite bands broke up. Sad day. I’ve been listening to Copeland since I was about 15 maybe 14 and I’ve followed them throughout their career, but was never able to catch them live. They have put out some amazing records and its sad to see them part. Below is a list of my favorite songs from them and these are the songs of the day:

Song of the Day 5/12

Copeland – Sleep

This song really brings me back to my junior high days. I’ve been listening to it ever since. This post is late. I’ve been reading for school BUT I chose this song at about 1:36 today.
