Yow Yow’s Top 10 Posts of 2017

It isn’t hard to push out a post when I need to. They can range from anything to a YouTube video to a song on Spotify or a quote against a printed background in an interesting typeface on Pinterest. While I like to think that varying lengths of posts make Yow Yow! really interesting, it’s those essays that I spend the most time on that I’m proud of. 2017 was a year of changes not only for me personally, but for Yow Yow! There was a lot happening in the world that I wanted to share an opinion about and I’ll admit, I don’t always get it right. I’ve received some criticism over the last year for some of the pieces that I’ve written, which challenged me, but I also received positive feedback as well. Overall, it felt like a step in the right direction. As much as I love writing about food, music, and fashion, I can’t let Yow Yow! only be about that. And the reason why is just because that’s not what I’m only all about. Thank you all for letting me stretch my creativity with this and for continuing to stick with us.

SPiN Comes to Downtown Seattle

This December, ping pong social destination, SPiN will be expanding to a prime location in downtown Seattle, Washington. SPiN, originally from New York is a place where friends can gather together to play ping pong in a more social setting.

SPiN Seattle will open its doors at 1511 6th Avenue and will occupy nearly 10,000 lower level square feet of the historic Decatur Building. Originally built in the 1920’s, this Seattle landmark will offer tournaments, monthly programming, private lessons, corporate parties and casual play.

“SPiN’s culture inspires and connects people through ping-pong while celebrating creativity, diversity and inclusivity.” Says SPiN CEO, Pieter Vanermen. “We chose Seattle as the next city because of its rich culture, technological innovation and a growing community devoted to originality that aligns with the SPiN brand. We are absolutely thrilled to launch and invite the public to come witness what SPiN is all about.”

Designed by the architectural firm, Barker/Nestor, the new Seattle location will be a mecca and playground for all ages. The newest location will offer 12 Olympic-style ping pong tables, private lounge spaces and a full-service restaurant and bar that can accommodate anywhere from a few people to 300 guests. The space includes the perfect setting for intimate connecting thanks to plush lounge seating and extraordinary art features-perfect for any celebration or group activity.

If you’re looking for a spot to host your next party or outing, this will be it. There’s also a SPiN location here in San Francisco and this post is reminding me that I still need to check it out myself!

Blog Roundup:

I have been finding so many interesting things on the internet recently that I pretty much want to blog everything! I’d do that, but then you’d get 20 posts in one day and who has time for that? Very rarely has anyone watched me actually blog and even then I think it’s such a weird process. Maybe we can include that on the video blogs someday, Veronica? Anyways, today we’re already at 10 posts and I must confess to you all, I’ve got some blog projects I need to hit tonight! [More on that later] So laziness is about to occur and you’re gonna get a roundup of some of the best things that I came across on the internet today in one post!

Let’s go!
