Style Me Pretty Gets Revamped!

Sometimes, I like to hold onto the layouts of my favorite blogs. Other times, when I notice that one gets a completely new look – I surprise myself by actually loving it. Earlier today, I discovered that one of my favorite wedding blogs Style Me Pretty has completely changed into a much more modern and cleaner look. Honestly? I think it’s great! This is the type of layout design that I dream of for Yow Yow!

Since it’s Wedding Wednesday and we’re celebrating their new layout….

Congratulations Style Me Pretty

The wonderful creative minds over at Style Me Pretty have released their book today on bookshelves and I couldn’t be more excited about this news. After all, they are the ones that remind me everyday of love’s existence and how beautiful it can be. I can’t wait to hole myself up in Barnes & Noble and rifle through these pages. Yes, I realize that I could buy this book, but this poor post grad is unable to at the time.

Sad day. Regardless, this is a huge step for the wedding blog and one that I hope I can follow in the same footsteps with Yow Yow!

Book Announcement

Style Me Pretty may not have been the first wedding blog that I ever stumbled upon, but it is, by far, my favorite. Everyday, I visit the blog for ideas, wedding videos, and photographs of real weddings from real people that inspire me to someday have the wedding I’ve always dreamed of. My friends and family have recently asked me to tone down my love for all things wedding inspired in conversation, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to refrain from it here on my blog. …And I won’t.

I am so excited that Abby Larson will be releasing her first book “Style Me Pretty Weddings” and you better believe that when I start planning my own that I will be making this purchase. Check out more details from it here.

Weekend Wedding Snapshot

My wedding obsession has gone into full force. Instead of perusing Style Me Pretty every once in awhile, I have decided to take a few peaks at it throughout my days. I’ve been off the blogging radar for quite a few days this week due to traveling/vacation, but while playing catch up, I did come across this photograph from High Snobette of the lovely Leandra Medine in her wedding gown by Marchesa. Medine is the writer behind the popular fashion blog – Man Repeller. Gorgeous, right? Also – just downright badass.

Wake Up To Weddings

Good morning readers!

I believe that every week (Sunday,) but mostly every day should begin with a little bit of love. Since I’ve been stuck on Style Me Pretty for over a week catching up on posts from October (I’m only still on December going backwards,) weddings have been on the brain! Just to clarify, I’m not exactly bummed that I’m “stuck,” because I absolutely love it. So for the last week instead of getting ready to the sounds of new music, I’ve been watching wedding videos and reading wedding posts, which cheesily fills my heart up before I leave for the day.

Wedding Dream Dress

While perusing one of my favorite wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty, today – I came across this incredible feature of a Miami wedding. I also fell in love with this dress by Australian designer, Johanna Johnson. The embellished back detail – that headpiece – all so lovely.

My own wedding is not even in sight, but I’ve always dreamed of having either a sassy shorter dress or a longer slinky one. Princess ball gowns are not in my future.
