Camp Grounded – Summer Camp For Adults
Why does summer camp only have to be for kids? I love this idea from the people at Digital Detox who have created this retreat for people to disconnect all weekend long. No electronics, no email, and definitely no phones – just like when you attended summer camp yourself in the old days. Camp Grounded is filled with all of your favorite camp activities like crafts, hiking, truth or dare, campfires, and s’mores! Who wouldn’t want to attend this, right? I actually think this is a really cute idea for adults. Is anyone in Silicon Valley going to take advantage of this?! If so, gather some of your friends and start registering here for one of the three weekends.

The Weekend: 5 Things
With Alex in town from San Francisco and Lucia back from LA, it was a freshman reunion with the whole gang back together. I’m grateful that the friends I made in my first quarter of college at Seattle University are still the people that I love and enjoy being around! In addition to all of this going on, it was also Ashley’s last weekend so we had a total “Seattle Day” being tourists around the city before we gave her a proper send off to San Diego.
One year later, I FINALLY visited the Great Wheel. And it was awesome, as expected.

The Standard x Warby Parker Short Story Collection
Last year, Warby Parker collaborated with The Standard to hold a writing competition asking people to share with them stories that are 1,000 words or less inspired by the “dog days of summer.” They selected 10 stories and compiled them into a pocket-friendly book – available now- for free! at Warby Parker retail stores in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and Boston. However, if you are not within a location, you can also check out the virtual collection of stories here.

The Weekend: 5 Things
Hello!
I hope all of you had such a wonderful 4th of July weekend. This past weekend had me incredibly spoiled with happy hours, dinners, friends, and family! Can we have 4-day weekends all of the time? Kevin and I have been craving ice cream sandwiches like when we were kids so today we contemplated at the grocery store whether or not we should buy a box of 12 or a box of 16. In the end, it didn’t really matter because we got what we wanted all along.
Is It Summer Time Yet?
Celebrating spring in Seattle was absolutely fantastic today and only makes me more excited for the up coming season and the Seattle sun. This photograph of this towel above though reminds me that I am in need of a vacation soon. Any ideas, readers? I’m not very picky, but my only requirement is somewhere I can grab some vitamin D.

Wondermade Marshmallows
If you asked me what my favorite summer treat would be, I would – without skipping a beat – shout to you S’MORES! There is something about the season of summer that makes me cling to foods that are incredibly light and after all, what is lighter than a marshmallow, right? Now, I have not tried these myself, but the thought of flavored marshmallows in between my graham crackers and chocolate is making my mouth water. Wondermade Marshmallows come in flavors that include Pumpkin Pie (for that summer/winter taste,) Honey, Guinness, Blueberry, Almond, and Peppermint.
