Kerry Washington in Prada
I may have missed the entire show from being at work and out to dinner, but we’d never miss a chance of covering the red carpet.
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen
The CFDA awards highlights the best of the best in the fashion industry annually. This year, celebrities and the most notable players in the fashion world came out for one of the best dressed events of the year. We’re highlighting our favorite looks below and the winners below that.
I can’t believe it’s time already for the most fashionable night of the year! It’s crazy to think that a year has already gone by. I feel like I was making the 2013 post just last month. This year’s theme is White Tie and Decorations.
Of course we’re kicking things off with Queen Bey and Jay.
Beyonce and Jay-Z both in Givenchy Haute Couture
Lupita Nyong’o, in Prada
The red carpet was packed with actors and actresses meant for the best dressed list. We’ve reached the end of the Award Show season (I think) and this was probably the best way to close it out. Lupita has pretty much hit it out of the park for every award show. That alone, should earn her an award.
Rose Byrne in Custom Calvin Klein Collection
I wasn’t that into the Emmy’s this year for some reason and that could’ve been for a few reasons:
Typically when we cover award shows, we generally just stick to the fashion and that’s exactly what we’re going to do again. But here are the winners in case you are wondering – – via Refinery29
Rose Byrne’s gown was easily one of my favorites from the entire evening!
Vera Wang is pretty much a household name in the fashion industry. In fact, if you know anything about fashion at all, you should definitely know her name to start. With her iconic and classic runway collections, to her bridal collections, Vera Wang can do no wrong. I was stopped in my tracks yesterday when I came across this photograph of her out and about this week wearing this GIANT belt cinched at the waist. It doesn’t make any sense, but only Vera could pull something like this off and it’s incredible.
Returning to work on a Tuesday had me confused for Wedding Mondays. Today, the Nordstrom Wedding Suite announced that a new batch of Vera Wang wedding gowns had arrived and of course I couldn’t help myself from taking a peek at the look book. Vera Wang is a popular designer for most brides and while I admire the designs, the volume, and the elegance, I’m not sure if my dream wedding gown will ever be found in her collections. Regardless, I have so much respect and adoration for the woman and even though most wouldn’t approve of a non-white wedding gown, I was actually drawn to this one. Check out the rest of the look book here.
It’s the biggest night in fashion of the year and for the past four years, we have been covering the annual Met Gala. This year’s theme was Punk: Chaos to Couture and the celebrities did it well. Here – Dakota Fanning looks phenomenal in Rodarte.

- In case you missed it, Adele’s performance of “Skyfall.” I love how she performs this song like she gives zero eff’s, but that’s basically because her work is effortless. Loves.

- What kinds of items are found in the Oscars swag bags? Things that probably shouldn’t be given to 9-year old nominee Quvenzhané Walli. Check it!
