Every Sunday, I spend a small chunk of my day catching up on the wedding videos from the week so that I have something for you on Monday. Prior to any video watching though, I met up with a friend this morning for brunch – a friend of mine who just happens to be on the road to getting engaged. And wow, I couldn’t be happier for her! There was never any doubt in my mind that they wouldn’t end up together and I think the reason why everyone already feels like this is the right thing for them is because we kind of already consider them married. During our chat we must’ve covered everything under the sun – her relationship, my relationships, what it means to settle, and how so many people can be the same age, but be at varying stages in their lives. At one point, she looked at me and just said, “I can’t wait for you to have what we have. You deserve it.” Andddd what happened next was that my eyes welled up and I cried, “I want that too!” Sometimes we forget that we’re in public places, but the best friends to have are the ones that will talk to you about anything  – no matter where you are. I’m pretty lucky to have her.

So long story short, watching wedding videos today was a little bit more emotionally charged than usual. I was hooked on Leah and Mikey’s wedding the minute I heard the song. I hadn’t heard it before, but sometimes when you know, you know. I had to keep watching. I had to finish this video and I just knew that there was no part of it that was going to disappoint me.
