16 women have joined together in banning shopping trips for one year. These women aren’t women that don’t care about their clothes. In fact, they are women who are essentially shop-a-holics. They have one in every color, a few of the same exact thing and spend thousands of dollars every year on their clothing funds. Just to prove that they CAN, they have created a blog supporting their project “The Great American Apparel Diet” where they will discuss how much they want to spend, but won’t.

I applaud them. I don’t know if I could ever do something like this. I haven’t shopped since the beginning of September, but I don’t doubt for a second that I won’t make purchase tomorrow on … black flats that I will be replacing for the third time.
