When a girl finds herself twirling her hair, she may be doing this out of anxiety, tension, or nervousness according to photographer Jeff Powerhouse. Powerhouse has been photographing women for seven years capturing them on the streets as they twirl a strand of hair. He has compiled this collection into his new book Twirl / Run. The book also features people running. It has nothing to do with twirling.
