Oscars Arrivals + Parties

What you’ve all been waiting for!

Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab Couture – 4.5

Big things are about to happen for Anna in terms of her acting career and her appearance on the red carpet. It’s too bad that Up in the Air did not win any Oscars last night because that is one of my favorite movies from last year and she was great in it. This gown is beautiful. I’m glad she didn’t go overboard with it. Only thing I would change would be the shoes.

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa. I love Marchesa gowns for award shows! This is a 4.2

Mariah Carey in Valentino Haute Couture. This is like a bad prom dress. She doesn’t know how to dress anyways so I’m not surprised. 2.3

Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham. I am loving this. It is beautiful and so age appropriate for Miley unlike some of her past dresses. If she wasn’t hunched over she might get a higher score, but right now it’s a 4.4

Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Couture. This is an example when taking a risk goes so wrong. It looks like someone went streamer crazy with the bottom of her dress. I envisioned her in a very slinky silk gown 🙁  2.6

Jake Gyllenhaal in Burberry. I don’t really judge guys!

Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive. What a refreshing look for her. I used to dread seeing her on the red carpet because she would wear awful flashy get ups, but last night she looked normal and elegant. 3.6

Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhuillier. It wouldn’t be a picture of Kristen Stewart if there wasn’t one thing awkward about it… like this pose for example. I’m glad she wore something that was right down her alley and not as trashy. 3! She’s working her way up.

Kate Winslet in Altelier Yves St. Laurent. Average. 3

Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan – 3.8

Zac Efron – The Signature

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries Van Noten – 4.5

Demi Moore in Atelier Versace. The woman doesn’t age. I like that it matches her skin tone and it gives her a very sophisticated natural look.  4.8

Diane Kruger in Chanel Couture. She gets a 4 because she wears it well. She always wears Chanel well, but I think the gown would look even better without all the floral embellishment in the middle, I just feel like it doesn’t belong there.

Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta. It’s nice and it’s safe. 3.7

Carey Mulligan in Prada. I just don’t know how I feel about out her red carpet wear. It hasn’t been sitting well with me, but it has never been bad either. So 3.5

Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel. Too daring. She shouldn’t have even tried. 2.5

Vera Farmiga in Marchesa. Bad interpretation of coffee filters, I normally love Marchesa, but this is too overwhelming for Vera. 2.1

Amanda Seyfried in Armani Prive. Gorgeous. 4.4

Elizabeth Banks in Versace. I love this gray color! She still kept with the ruffles trend, but at least the color makes her stand out. 4.3

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab Haute Couture. I kind of like this. It reminds me of BCBG Max Azria print. 3.7

Faith Hill in Roberto Cavalli. What were you thinking? Keep this in the bedroom next time please kthanks. 1.3

Tina Fey in Michael Kors. LOVE! 4.7

Katy Perry in Zuhair Murad and Russell Brand. meh 3.5

Kate Bosworth in Peter Pilotto. 4.3

Hayden Panettiere in Amanda Wakeley 4.5

Natalie Portman in Lanvin. 4.3

Vanessa Hudgens in Jenny Packham. She really does love those low cut dresses… 3.2 not a fan.

Zoe Kravitz in AMAZINGNESS! 5!

Charlize Theron in Dior Couture. yeeee…. 3.3 Not sure about the rosette placement.
