I remember when our voices used to sound the same

I could have been anywhere, but instead I was here. I found myself alongside Mr. Dan Deacon himself with my arms up, knees slightly bent, and my hair no longer in the part that it had been this morning. This was what made it all worth it. I might have missed out on a lot yesterday, but for me, I will always choose music. I will always prefer being front row and center and sweaty for a 45-minute set.

It was a bad idea that I borrowed my friend Adam’s medium-sized sweatshirt for the performance. It was the best situation to have my best friend right behind me, protecting me, and making sure to pull my sweatshirt up again when it slumped down my shoulder.
