Last weekend a friend gave me a bite of his new concoction: cheddar cheese melted on top of an apple pie a la mode. It tasted as bad as it really sounded. I’ve learned that not to all food can be combined. However, Seattle’s based Komforte Chockolates (pronounced comfort chocolates) have tried to do just that. Their new line combines the taste of chocolate with tortilla lime and salt, french toast, and ramen noodles. This makes me nervous.
