June Bug

Such a fitting name for a shoe isn’t it? Luckily, this one came right in time for my summer to start.

I never get mail at school. When I do, it’s a complete surprise because I really am not expecting it from anyone. This past Thursday afternoon, I decided to check only to find a bulging package that was stuffed into my box.

a) Evaluate the package – consider what it might be?

b) Find the address

c) …Teen Vogue is it really you?!

I haven’t worked with Teen Vogue in several years so I was kind of confused as to what they were sending me. Inside this white package was a pair of Sanuk shoes (the exact ones above!) Not being familiar with this brand, I decided to Google them. The drawstring bag that it came in told me that the shoes were part shoe and part sandal. They kept away odors and had a soft sole. You could also use the bag to put your banana peel in it for compost? Good, they’re going green. The shoes could also be purchased online for $45.

I decided to test drive the shoes for the evening. Turns out they’re the most comfortable pair of shoes I own! I like the dark shade especially since I don’t have any in that color except for boots. It is both casual and classic. I’ve been wearing my Mom’s Keds around a lot so it’s nice to have a new alternative to wear w/ my jeans, my skirts, and maybe some of my summer dresses.

Sanuk – I have no idea if you were asking for free promotion out of this, but you just got it!
