Jane Hornby’s What to Cook and How to Cook It

A little over a week ago, I wrote a post about the new cook book “What To Cook and How To Cook It” by Jane Hornby. I was drawn in by the adorable cover and mentioned that I would definitely be checking it out when it was released this October. This morning, I heard from the book’s publicist who told me she’d be happy to send me over an advanced copy so I could review it! I’m not exactly sure how to review a recipe book, but after reading the press release and learning more information about it I am pretty excited!

These days blogs have become incredibly popular for news and learning. We are all learning from each other and about the things we specialize in whether it be fashion, food, or music. Jane Hornby wanted to incorporate the way we learn into her book, which is step-by-step. The book promises 100 recipes and 850+ color photographs that show the recipe being made in almost each step of the process. No more questioning if it “looks right.”

Obviously, I am not the best cook in the world, but I am open to learning because I think the idea of cooking is fun. I want to be proud of what I make and impress my friends while also trying not to starve! Some recipes from the book that I plan on trying out are the Mushroom Risotto, Lasagna, Maple Roasted Winter Vegetables, and chocolate chip cookies. Classic.
