Back in July, I wrote a post about the Frustration Venting store in China, which allowed women to brutally annihilate items such as cellphones, televisions, and appliances in a store with rooms resembling a home. It gave women the opportunity to release their anger by taking it out on items that don’t belong to them.
Artist Nate Hill dressed up as a panda yesterday to create a similar idea, but this time inviting people to unleash their inner rage on him. He purchased his panda suit from eBay and his enormous chest protector from the internet,
“I choose the panda suit because the panda face really melts people’s heart,” says Hill. “I wanted to have people get out their aggression on something cute. It’s fun to have that contradiction. This is an art project. I’m not just a thrill seeker.”
