The Interview Project

We spend a great deal of time focusing on those that are directly connected to us. Our close friends and our close family are convenient and while every relationship can be a learning experience within its own, there is still a lot to be learned from people we may never come across. One thing that I have tried to focus on in this blog from the start was the projects that people have created all over the world. These are the types of projects that connect people to each other because of a strong desire and interest to knowledge and an overall understanding of people in general.

The Interview Project was created by David Lynch who travels on the road interviewing whoever he may come across along the way. There are 121 episodes overall. It is amazing how much you can learn about a person – about life in just a five minute interview.

The gentleman above is Asaph Adonai.

and a special thank you to Holiday Matinee for introducing to some incredible news and projects lately.

Not On My Cell

Your phone begins to vibrate. You glance nervously at the board – to your professor – to the vibrating phone in your backpack. Last week, the professor annihilated a kid and confiscated his cell phone even in college! What do you do? You’ve got to take the call. If you’re a senior, that could be your future employer calling you to let you know you’ve been hired!

Not On My Cell has created a skin for these kinds of moments. All you have to do is place the sticker that matches your skin color onto the back of your cell phone so that when you use it, it looks like you are just casually touching your face. The piece of camouflage was designed by a group of friends from San Francisco.

We Are Hunted

The name We Are Hunted has absolutely nothing to do with the site that it has created, but I’ll take it. Right now, music streaming sites are HOT. There’s GrooveShark, XM Radio, Playlist, and Pandora. They’ve been around for sometime now, but that’s just not in right now. You know what is in? [cue Justin Timberlake moment from The Social Network] Music that you don’t get to choose yourself. That’s right, completely random. How does it feel to have limited control? I know it’s scary at first – I understand, really I do, but We Are Hunted is doing you a huge favor. They are bringing to you completely NEW tracks that you probably haven’t heard of. You might recognize a few of the artists: J. Cole, Girl Talk, Hellogoodbye. This is a chance for you to broaden your music taste so why not take it?

Take the plunge. We Are Hunted.
