2011 People’s Choice Awards

Ashley Tisdale in Farah Angsana

I haven’t rated looks in forever, but I might just start up again. I give this look a 4.7 because I am loving her resort-esque dress even during the winter time. The blend of chartreuse and pink in the dress help bring out her warm skin tone and are really quite complimentary to the entire look itself. She also gets points for doing the boho look without looking homeless hippy.

Taylor Swift in J. Mendel

When Taylor Swift wears this dress she looks refreshed and modern. However, Natalie Portman wearing the same exact dress on the cover of Vogue resembled a look that was almost regal like and old fashioned. That might just be because of how the cover was shot though. The color for Taylor is predictable, but the style is not! I love the cut and with every event, she continues to astound me.

Raven wearing an outfit that looks like it came out of Black Swan. The cleavage exposure added to this is also a little tacky. 1.3

Katy Perry in Betsey Johnson.

It is always difficult to guess Katy Perry’s outfit for any event, but once we see it, it always seems to make sense. Not mind-blowing and not jaw-dropping. 3.6 In my opinion, I believe that every girl should own a Betsey Johnson dress. There is no better way to feel like a girly girl than slipping yourself into one of her cupcake dresses.

Annalynne McCord in a bright blue dress with gold Louboutins. This dress makes her look like a skinny mini! It might just be a little too overwhelming for her… 2.8

Selena Gomez in a pale pink Paule Ka dress. This is absolutely stunning on her and very age appropriate. 4.7 She has definitely gained a more mature style, but at least the transition through is smooth – which can’t really be said about some of her other Disney costars.

I am a huge fan of Aly Michalka. I used to love her music and I love her new show Hellcats, but this is just unacceptable. I’m sorry, did she get her wardrobe mixed up with one of the characters from Jersey Shore? PS. nice hooker heels…NOT. Unfortunately, I have to give this look a 1.

Kate Walsh in  David Meister. Kate is absolutely glowing in this dress! I actually didn’t even recognize her at first, but she looks fantastic. I also love the bubble hem because I haven’t seen that on the red – or in this case – blue carpet in quite a while. 4.7

Emma Roberts in Christian Dior

The details in the ruffles make this dress what it is. Emma Roberts has been stepping up her game in the last couple of years and this is just another winning outfit. 4.4

Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra

It’s a great dress, but not one that we would have immediately picked out for Kristen! She has definitely been stepping outside of her box in the last year or so as well, but sometimes an outfit doesn’t save you from consistent awkwardness. 🙂 4

Minka Kelly in Vivienne Westwood

This dress is my favorite of the night! It is absolute perfection and the great thing about this dress is that Minka wore it the way it was featured on the runway. There are no extra frills and thrills because it just didn’t need it. It is simply effortless and I think that’s why I love it so much. 5!

Autumn Reeser looking like a loofah. Yes, there is a definite difference between this dress and the dress that Emma Roberts wore. I’ll also pass on the shoes. 2

Lucy Hale in Ronald Abdala

I wanted to like this dress, I really did. Unfortunately, it was a little too structured for my taste. I wish that she would’ve gone with a dress a little bit more inspired by her character Aria on Pretty Little Liars.2.8

Mila Kunis in J. Mendel.

It’s a nice, but safe look for her. It looks great against her long dark hair, but it isn’t a dress that is memorable for me. She didn’t necessarily do anything wrong with it though so…3.2

Natalie Portman in Jason Wu with Ashton Kutcher

This is one of my favorite dresses from Jason Wu’s recent collection and it is right up her alleyway. Extra points added for wearing it through maternity. 4.2

Leighton Meester in Vionnet

I’m having mixed feelings about this dress for some reason, but I can’t exactly put my finger on it. For that, I give it a 3.

The family that is addicted to reality television: The Kardashians

Kylie wearing Wink; Khloe wearing Alexander McQueen; Kim wearing Malandrino; Kourtney wearing Gert-Johan CoetzeeKendall wearing Bebe

I’m not analyzing their looks.

Selena Gomez in Irina Shabayeva

Minka Kelly wins for having the best simple dress of the night, but Selena gets my vote for best stand out dress. I love the cut for this dress and how well it is complimented by her metallic accessories. 5!

Jennifer Aniston in Dolce & Gabbana

I did say menswear for women was my favorite look in 2010 and it looks like it has even carried on into 2011. I don’t love it, but it’s not bad. It works and Jennifer has pulled it off! 4.5
