I’m always fascinated by how Facebook’s online terms can seep into our every day lives. How did Mark Zuckerberg come up with poking, wall posts, “liking” things, etc? If anyone ever said these terms to you in person, you would know in an instant that it came from Facebook. Since social media is not as personable, users often leave themselves as an open book on these social networking sites, which can be quite dangerous. To explain how dangerous it can be, Nico Muhly decided to promote his opera Two Boys by creating this video of him acting out Facebook and Twitter terms in real life.
Watch as Muhly literally “follows” someone after just meeting them and asking strangers on the street to be his friend in this creative video.
