Song of the Day

Jhameel – THC

Hahaha I mean…if you don’t think too much about the lyrics and just enjoy the beat, you’ll see that it’s a really great song.

…would the Juggalos like this?

André Leon Talley Exits ANTM; Kelly Cutrone Enters

After four years of being a judge on America’s Next Top Model alongside Tyra Banks, we have learned yesterday that André Leon Talley will be leaving the show at the end of the season. His replacement? None other than HBIC PR Head Kelly Cutrone. I know I throw around the term “HBIC” pretty often, but I really mean it this time. Cutrone is known in the fashion business industry for her public relations company People’s Revolution, but on television, is known for being the cutthroat boss to both Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad on The Hills/City. Who could ever forget the moment when Kelly interviews Stephanie Pratt for a position at the PR firm?

Well, I did so here it is again.

I don’t normally watch this show, but Cutrone is one of my idol’s so I might have to make an exception.

Current Events

Me: Have you heard of The Buried Life?
JJ: Wait, is that the show about the Hoarders?
Veronica: No, you’re thinking about Buried Alive.

Words can be tricky.

Matthew Gray Gubler Playing Games

Criminal Minds actor Matthew Gray Gubler will be hiding the following items in a “magic sack” in Los Angeles in hopes that someone will decide to enter in his game of scavenger hunt. Clues will soon be given, but I don’t know if anyone knows this or not… but Los Angeles is KIND OF a big city. I haven’t decided yet if the prizes are worth it, but if they are coming from MGG’s personal stash, then I suppose they are. Would you join the hunt?

Sesame Street Does Glee

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCtEbKRTRgI&feature=player_embedded#!]

So…I think I’d like to start watching Sesame Street on a daily basis now because this stuff is adorable. I can’t get enough of it. It was bad enough that I realized last night how much I missed Elmo, but this parody of Glee gave me the giggles.

LOLOLOL at Mr. Shue (or should I say Mr. Gue) getting a glitter-outfit makeover mid-skit. I won’t spoil the rest for you though!

Minimalistic Song Posters

I’ve been writing a lot of posts about minimalistic posters lately and I think it’s because I enjoy the simplicity of it all. It’s interesting to me to see how text from books or songs or characters from shows or movies can be summed up with just a picture. I think it’s cool that we can even identify immediately what that item in pop culture is just from an image. These posters done by Swedish designer Viktor Hertz are AWESOME. Check out the rest of these classic songs here.

I Am An Artist and I Weigh

In a new project by Faye Mullen, the Toronto-based artists has decided to photograph her fellow artistic friends alongside items that amount to the subject’s weight. The choosing of the items were all done by the subjects themselves, but the weight of the subject doesn’t always mean physical mass. The interpretation was left in the hands of the artists. Check out their representations here.

El Mundo es Tuyo

Aaron Rose’s video for Opening Ceremony’s fall collection is cute and quirky. I am loving this creative display of showing off their upcoming collection. I also would like to own that adorable blue short-sleeved dress, please. The video was made in Ecuador w/ a local cast and crew.

The Quad Is Not An Intimate Space

Evan and I were walking through the quad this evening when we noticed a girl lying next to the bushes on the cement blocks.

Um wut?

As we got closer, we noticed that she was actually lying next to…a boy!

Freshmen – you could’ve gone ANYWHERE else on campus.

You know what? People have suspicions about those who lurk.
