RIP Natina Reed

Last night Natina Reed of the girl group Blaque was killed in a hit-and-run accident as she was walking across the street in Atlanta, Georgia. Blaque was one of my favorite groups growing up and even had key roles in the cheerleading flick “Bring It On.” The girl group was said to be on the verge of making a comeback. Natina was 32 years old.

While perusing for Halloween costumes earlier this week, I completely abandoned my original idea when I spotted a sparkly holiday dress from H&M. With no holiday parties even on the calendar yet, I figured I could somehow transform this dress into more than one use. Bye bye super hero costume, hello princess. Let’s be real though – I kind of gave up on celebrating Halloween altogether. As soon as I saw that dress in the store, I knew that I was only anticipating the holiday season even more. Truth:
Yesterday, someone asked me how I found myself in the industry that I’m in when I was on the path to working in the music industry instead. I told them that I wanted something more stable and that I couldn’t see myself living in a tour van. I lied. I’ve always really wanted to go on tour and I feel like I turned my back on the industry that I’ve loved so much for the past six years.
