Which Credit Card Is Right For You?

I recently learned from a dear friend of mine that everyone is supposed to have at least two credit cards to their name. This is the stuff that they should be teaching me in college…but they didn’t. So of course when higher education fails me who else can you really turn to? Google. Did you know that Google actually cares about how you should be selecting your credit card and how you should determine which one is the right one for you?

Obviously, different credit cards offer different services. You need to get a card that will suit your needs and serve its purpose. There are cards that offer great rewards and perks, like the American Express Credit Card. Every time you use that card to shop, you earn some sort of reward or points which can be cashed in whenever you like. It can be used for cashback or even air miles as well as other rewards. There are credit cards that you can get from the same bank you have your debit card with too. They don’t always offer the best reward systems but they often have good interest and APR rates, making it more affordable to get a credit card with them. There are also independent credit card lenders too and their perks and rates all vary. And, of course, credit cards are different all around the world, so there are resources out there to help people make learn what to look for in a credit card, like https://sf-puzzle.jp/, a Japanese personal finance site that offers helpful advice on credit cards, among a wealth of other finance-related topics.

I also didn’t realize that using a credit card is great for your credit score too! If you use a credit card to make any type of purchase and then pay off the card right away, it looks pretty good on your credit score and boosts it up. You don’t have to pay it off instantly and you can make minimum payments on the card each month but paying more works better in your favor, especially if you can afford it.
