Happy May!

I hope I’m not jinxing it by saying this, but tomorrow we start the streak of hot weather in Seattle! And the best way to celebrate is by stopping by Cupcake Royale for a free scoop of ice cream between 2-8PM.

Introducing: Domaine

photo cred | Coco + Kelley

I don’t get too excited over new blogs often considering that the average lifespan is…a month, but when you know that the people behind a new blog are already successful bloggers then there are no doubts to be had! The power ladies behind one of my favorite original blogs Who What Wear – Katherine Power and Hillary Kerr – have just introduced Domaine to their readers which will focus  on home life. So excited to see this venture and what will it bring especially because Seattle blogger Cassandra Lavalle of Coco + Kelley is a part of this partnership!

Virgin America – The Matchmaker

It’s no secret that flying on Virgin America is what we call a good decision. Everything that you can do on your flight makes traveling go by so much faster! With music, food, movies, chatting from seat-to-seat, Richard Branson is now tapping into another hot market. Dating. For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been talking about how difficult it can be to date these days, but would you believe that many people actually…meet on flights? Everything starts with a good conversation and Branson knows that. A new feature that you can find on Virgin America flights is the ability for passengers to send each other anonymous drinks, snacks, and meals…because nothing says ‘I’m into you’ more than filling a person’s stomach! If that isn’t obvious enough, you can also send a passenger a pretty blunt text about your feelings. That’s a little too much for us, but to each his/her own.

Bang With Friends Is A Hit

In early February, I shared with you a new little app/service called Bang With Friends. I didn’t know what to make of it at first and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to hear about it again. Two months later and it has appeared on my blog roll and this time in a good way! Well, good for the company and all of the people that are getting hooked up apparently. The Bang With Friends Facebook app is on the verge of reaching its one millionth user and to date, they have successfully matched up 200,000 hookups. I feel a little silly writing a piece like this, but if it works – it works! That’s what Yow Yow is about – not hook ups – but being able to track the innovations that impact my generation and our society and this is one of them. Currently the company is raising a $1 million and for the time being the co-founders are remaining anonymous because as you can imagine there are some people that are not a part of their fan club. Tech Crunch hints at religious groups. I am, however, fascinated by this app.

Also check out their email address. No shame. Love it.
