No one is more protective than a father when his little girl brings home a boy for the first time to meet the family. And when a boy hurts a girl – oh lordddddd, boy better watch out.

I saw this passed around on my newsfeed today and it was just the sweetest little letter that a father wrote to his daughter on her future husband. I think sometimes we think about marriage, we think about all of these tangible things like that we want someone to equally be our partner in taking care of the kids, the house, the responsibilities. We think of sharing things, but we also forget about other important qualities. Well – we don’t necessarily forget about supporting your partner or wanting to someone to want us to be better, but it’s the those “soft” things that we don’t often think about, but need from each other.
