Stahl House Engagement Photos

Wedding Mondays is arriving just a little bit early today! Every so often I come across a post on some of the wedding blogs I read that stops me dead in my track. Usually, I’m looking for inspiration or wedding videos, but when you’ve seen an engagement photoshoot as beautiful as this one, you just can’t NOT share it.

Sometimes, I think engagement photos are even better than wedding photos. Something about the pure happiness you can see on the couple’s faces as they embark on the journey of a lifetime together is just so beautiful. I’ve seen the most gorgeous engagement photos Rhode Island has to offer, the most stunning engagement photos taken in New York and the most whimsical engagement photos taken in my own local area. And the thing they all have in common? That look of pure happiness.

Of course, it’s probably to do with the excitement and the romance of an engagement shoot that makes it feel different. Weddings can often be overwhelming for a couple, and the nerves can show through in the photos. At a wedding, a couple is surrounded by family and friends. They might be the most supportive family and friends in the world, but it’s still a lot to take in. For an engagement shoot, on the other hand, it’s more personal. It’s less about the combining of two families, and more about the happiness the couple feels together in that very moment.

There are so many options to select when shooting your engagement photos and at this point in my life, I don’t think I could say I have a favorite. Most people choose the city, the beach, or within nature in a forest. Others choose to simply take pictures in their favourite restaurant or outside their house. Seasons can also make a big difference. Christmas engagements are popular, with all the magic of the festive season in the air. Spring is popular too, with blossom budding on the trees signalling new beginnings. I love this couple’s decision to select a beautiful house overlooking the city. I’ve got a soft spot for balloons, always.
