Wife Lessons: SuChin Pak

I realized that the previous Wedding Mondays post below is a video that is not as long as the average post we’ve had here on Yow Yow! I didn’t want any of you to feel like you were cheated out by me for these so I decided to include another very special wedding post to include for Wedding Mondays. As you all are aware, we absolutely adore SuChin Pak here on Yow Yow! If someone asked me who my role model was growing up, it would be her. And if I were to follow anyone’s advice, it would be SuChin yet again! Girl can do no wrong. Last week, SuChin shared her wedding with Loverly (photographs and advice!) so I decided that I would pass it on to my favorite brides-to-be Natalie, Allison, and the rest of our readers. Wedding Mondays

For this particular Wedding Monday, we are changing things up a bit! Quite some time ago, I came across this feature by the Times for a couple named Christine and Indra. The two of them come from very different background, but discuss how their special day will incorporate both their heritages. It’s still just as cute – I promise!

Song of the Day

David Ryan Harris – All I Need

Throwback! Lately, I’ve been digging back into my library of music to find songs that I once loved. These days when I find a new song, I get stuck on it for weeks and then all of the music I’ve collected in the past gets forgotten about. “All I Need” is one of my favorite songs ever and re-discovering it in my library always feels like I’m listening to it for the first time. I actually selected this song as a Song of the Day (live version!) back in Nov 2009, but thought it deserved another visit to Yow Yow! Here is the recorded version of it. Enjoy!

Sunday Words

It’s not Sunday anymore, but new days for me don’t start until after I head to bed.

Wengenn in Wonderland

wengenn

Since this came out last week, friends of mine have been asking me left and right if I’ve seen the “cutest baby post ever?” to go viral. I didn’t have much time to post it until now, but while I am aware of the adorable Wengenn, it’s important to note that his mother Queenie Liao, a freelancer and mother to three young boys, was inspired by another artist that created these “dreams” once before. Does anyone remember my post of “Mila’s Daydreams” from back in July 2010?! Yeah, that was a long time ago.

While this isn’t the first we’ve seen of the dream settings, we think Wengenn is awesome and these imaginative dreams are definitely 10x better than the ones I’m having as a 20-something so… do you, Wengenn.

In Sad News Today…

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are splitting after 6 years together. The two have been separated for several months according to E! Kerr gave birth to their son Flynn in 2011 and were married for 3 three years.

‘After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation.’

The statement added: ‘Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.’

This is really sad! I always loved it when Orlando would come to her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to support her.

Take Me There:

It’s funny that I should choose this spot for a “Take Me There” post because I’m terrified of heights, but it’s gorgeous, right? Lately, it’s been starting to feel a lot colder here in Mountain View and while I know it is not as cold as Seattle, it still feels like it is. I’m taking advantage of all the sunny days that we have left and hopefully it’s more than just a handful.

Today’s photograph is of Gaiola Bridge in Naples, Italy.
