Currently Craving:

My Seahawks gave me an anxious-ridden win today, but we pulled through nonetheless! Because of that, I’m currently craving Kukuruza Beast Corn from the Seattle popcorn shop. I’ve never actually tried the lime and blueberry mixture, but I’m completely mesmerized by these colors and the Seattle Seahawks spirit! Unfortunately, this was only available for a limited time, but I’m crossing my fingers that a) it will be back and b) the next time it’s back I’m actually back in Seattle to snag myself a bag of it!

This shop is just my favorite – it’s pretty exciting to see how much they’ve expanded since I last ate their popcorn in college!

Photo of the Day:

Kendall Jenner is front and center closing out the Dolce & Gabbana show at Milan fashion week. I’ll admit that at the beginning I had my doubts and I was a little bit worried that maybe she WOULD get special treatment because of her family, but there’s no denying that she looks phenomenal on the runway. Earlier this week, reports came out that other models were bullying her and acting like true “mean girls” putting out their ciggs into her drinks and almost immediately, my face scrunched up into a frown and I just wanted to like…I don’t know – give her a hug? I think she’s been showing everyone just how much potential she has at Fashion Week and I’m totally rooting for her success. Go get em’ Ken!

The Weekend: Last Weekend’s Seattle Trip

For the first time in a long time, I finally took a vacation! I was returning home for the wedding of my beautiful friend Natalie, but decided that a weekend just wasn’t enough so I tacked on a couple of extra days and tried to go off the grid from work. For someone who hasn’t really taken a true vacation (outside of company holidays) not checking email was extremely hard for me! I’m the only person on my team who gets a notification to my phone every time a new email comes into my inbox and it’s helpful in urgent cases, but causes me to have a sense of urgency 24/7. Having to ignore that on vacation was tough, but got easier as the long weekend went on. Here are just a few snaps from a very memorable return home.

Seattle greeted me with the most beautiful end of summer weather!

Every time I’m home, I find myself completely stretched for time and wanting to eat at all my favorite places and not enough home cooked meals as I would’ve wanted! I was supposed to catch up with a friend for happy hour at my favorite place in college – Cha Cha’s, but when I heard that he would be late, I made a very quick decision to sprint like 7 blocks down the hill to Taylor Shellfish for half a dozen oysters. That’s all I thought I would have time for! They must’ve thought I was crazy for running in and out of there and…by myself, but it was so worth it!

Things Julian Casablancas Says

Questions:

1. What is Julian Casablancas doing in GQ?

2. What? This quote?

3. What does he even have against brunch? Especially brunch in New York, which I hear is actually pretty good.
