For years, I’ve been listening to all of my favorite LA bloggers raving about the egg sandwich from Eggslut. I’ve seen the pictures. I’ve heard what they had to say. And now, this video. I die. I had my very first egg sandwich when I moved to the Bay Area and I haven’t stopped ordering them since. (BTW the best one to order is from Plow in Potrero Hill) My friend Mandi and I have such a love for egg sandwiches that we have even considered trying every single one at every brunch in SF and rating them for all of you on Yow Yow! We haven’t given up on this idea yet. I can’t wait to try Eggslut the next time I’m in LA!
I’m such a sucker for really unique items like this. Just this weekend in Portland, the cousins and I stopped by this design shop called LVLY on Division Street in Portland where we came across a ton of amazing items – one of which includes the Ostrich Pillow, which we have talked about before. This knitted mit, however, was designed for beer bottles and beer cans. They’re perfect for the football season! Except… the Super Bowl is about to happen and it’s in Arizona and something like this probably isn’t necessary. There’s always next year! Want your own? Check out the product on Cool Material here.
Emma Stone in Dior Haute Couture
Since I was in the midst of traveling today, I missed the entire red carpet. However, in looking at all of the highlights, I wasn’t disappointed by the looks. We’re kicking things off with Emma Stone today and it looks like she’s falling some sort of a pattern this award show season.
Looks like I’ll be able to check off one of my New Year’s resolutions very soon! Earlier this year, I vowed to travel more in 2015. At almost 25, I feel like I’m finally ready to take on all of the vacations and weekend trips that I always dreamed of slash never had the chance to take advantage of while I was in college. On an upcoming “cousins” trip, I’m excited to finally be able to explore Portland! I’ve driven through Seattle’s number two city twice now for road trips to San Francisco, but never had a chance to actually see the city. I hear that it is very much like Seattle, much more hipster, and full of delicious food. I love the Bay Area, but I’m looking forward to getting my Pacific Northwest on just for a little while. We’ll be creating a little packing list that we’ll post about soon just for the trip on Yow Yow!
Since I’ve never been before, does anyone have any suggestions?
I can’t wait to brunch, but it will be easy to find places I think because…Yelp. I’m also excited to try Salt & Straw, Stumptown in its own city AND of course Voodoo Doughnuts. I know it’s completely overrated, but I just have to.
After talking with my manager this week, she even encouraged me to go to one place a month in 2015. Can you imagine the damage that could do to my bank account? I’m excited nonetheless and I’m just going to take it one trip/adventure at a time just so I don’t wear myself out. 🙂
Mom Dad, don’t watch this. You’re not going to like it.
But, I’m actually singing this song everyday in the car on the way to work in the mornings.
Well done, Starbucks team. This simple and clean message was exactly what we needed to see and the best way to celebrate MLK Day.
With 50 Shades of Grey being released next month on Valentine’s Day, it’s not exactly a shocker that Dakota Johnson is Vogue’s February cover girl. The more I see the ads for this movie, the more I get excited for it despite having never read any of the books. I mean I didn’t think too highly of the books to begin with, but all of my girlfriends loved it and couldn’t get enough. The movie will do for me.
It’s funny actually though because this is Dakota’s first huge breakout role. The last thing I even remember her in was The Five-Year Engagement so I’m kind of excited to see how she does with Anastasia. Click the cut for more gorgeous looks from this spread:
