2015 Met Gala

Anna Wintour in Chanel – she hosted the whole thang so she had to be first.

It killed me that I couldn’t post every look and have this ready to go for you all this morning! I was so excited to see some of the looks from the Met Gala yesterday evening and then a part of me knew that I would hate some looks as well. With the theme being, “China: Through the Looking Glass,” I was concerned that there would be jabs poked at stereotypes and Asian trends that would make me cringe. Of course there were, but like all things, we have to move on and not dwell on them. In the interest of saving time (and space!) I am choosing not to include looks that I felt were in poor taste.

Beyonce in custom Givenchy Couture

Everyone likes to make a big deal out of Beyonce and unfortunately, I’m not one of those people. This look was way too overhyped by everyone yesterday, but c’mon are we surprised by this look? It looks like a longer version of something she’d wear on tour and it’s the same shape she wears for almost all of her gowns, which isn’t a bad thing because she obviously knows what works. This wasn’t the best look of the night though so let’s just be honest here.

Katy Perry in Moschino

Katy Perry being Katy Perry as always

Alexa Chung in Erdem

This is the most stunning piece I’ve ever seen from the silk floral gown to the embellished heels. I love everything about this.

Kim Kardashian in Roberto Cavalli

I had heard rumors that she was going to wear something else, but this is very Kim K. Wowza those shoulders.

Bee Shaffer in Alexander McQueen

I absolutely LOVE this look. She nailed the theme and the dress.

Poppy Delevingne in Marchesa

Joshua Jackson with Diane Kruger wearing Chanel

Best dressed couple always and forever.

Zac Posen w/ Katie Holmes

Alison Brie…I don’t know how I feel about this one. Afar this looked okay. Up close, not so much.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

What? What’s with the neckline? Is that a necklace? Blagh

Alicia Keys in John Paul Gualtier

Brie Larson in Dolce & Gabbana

She’s very pretty, but this looks like a stiff look on her and she seems uncomfortable.

Kerri Russell in Altuzarra

Amanda Seyfried in Givenchy

Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren

E.T. is that you?

Elizabeth Banks in Michael Kors.

NO.

Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture

Emily Ratajkowski in custom Topshop

Dianna Agron in Tory Burch

Kind of a snooze fest, but this is a very predictable dress for Dianna.

Princess RiRi in Guo Pei

Kerry Washington in custom Prada

This reminds me of a little girl’s dress.

Selena Gomez in Vera Wang

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Atelier Versace

Hailee Steinfeld in Michael Kors

Prom?

Solange Knowles in Giles

Rachel Weisz in Chanel

I feel like this dress could’ve been worn for like… any other event. C’mon, this is the Met Ball!

Chloe Moretz in Coach

Accessory fail.

Vanessa Hudgens in custom H&M

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson in vintage John Galliano

Stunning!

Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace

Jessica Chastain in Givenchy

Dree Hemingway in Coach

Amal Clooney in John Galliano for Margiela

Kristen Wiig in Prabal Gurung

Julianne Moore in Givenchy

Behati Prinsloo in Tommy Hilfiger

Candice Swanepoel in Michael Kors

Imogen Poots in Alberta Ferretti

Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein

This is so pretty! I love that she chose a seafoam green.

Kate Hudson in Michael Kors

Sophie Turner in Burberry

Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton

Sienna Miller in Thakoon

Lorde in Calvin Klein

Claire Danes in Valentino

Dakota Johnson in Chanel

Madonna in custom Moschino

Jennifer Lopez wearing Versace

That dress just blends entirely into the carpet.

Lily Aldridge in Carolina Herrera

Zendaya in Fausto Puglisi

FKA Twigs in Christopher Kane w/ Robert Pattinson

Caroline Trentini in Versace

Olivia Wilde in Prada

Reese Witherspoon in Jason Wu

Carey Mulligan in Balenciaga

Zoe Kravitz in Alexander Wang

Emily Blunt in Prada

Joan Smalls in Roberto Cavalli

Mags in Roland Mouret

Adriana Lima in Marc Jacobs

Gigi Hadid in Diane von Furstenberg

Karlie Kloss in Versace

Versace is winning this event.

Cara Delevingne in Stella McCartney

Those fake tattoos are horrendous.

Errr… Lady Gaga in Balenciaga

Miley Cyrus in Alexander Wang

Kate Beckinsale in Diane von Furstenberg

Naomi Campbell in Burberry

Jourdan Dunn in Burberry

Jessica Alba in Kenzo

One of my favorite looks of the night!

Rose Byrne in Calvin Klein

Liu Wen in Michael Kors

Grace Coddington in Michael Kors
