The Weekend: 5 Things

IMG_2839

Everytime I travel somewhere, I always feel like I need the next weekend after to completely unwind! That didn’t really happen this time around though because I packed my entire Saturday with being in the city. I ventured to a new part of town for the first time and discovered Cole Valley with my pal Erica. It’s considered a neighborhood, but really it only has two blocks of shops and a brunch place that we did not love. Womp womp.

I love how most of the charming houses in San Francisco are always pastel colored. Funny, for someone who used to tell people my favorite color was “pastel” I am living far from this city.

Erica and I couldn’t stop staring at this random mural. Why is there a cat amongst this weird marsh hiding?

After brunch, I had a HUGE craving for ice cream so I dragged Matt over to Mr. and Mrs. in Dogpatch so that I could get my scoop of brown butter. Yum! They really are my favorite in San Francisco and of course Tin Pot has my heart in the South Bay.

To celebrate Mandi’s birthday a week early, I treated her out to Mission Cheese – a place that she’d never been before, but knew that she would love. We shared a grilled cheese and their amazing mac and cheese! Comfort food at its best!

After an entire day out, I just couldn’t wait to get home so I returned home, put my feet up and watched 7 episodes of The Hills – Season 3. You know… the season where Lauren FINALLY goes to Paris!
