At the end of last month I tweeted out a teaser that someone very special to me would be joining Yow Yow! for the next year… Readers, I am thrilled to announce that my Bay Area bestie, Mandi, who is newly-engaged, has invited us to join the ride on her wedding planning adventures! As many of you know, I’ve been running Yow Yow! for the last six and a half years and this blog is kind of like my baby so it’s a big deal when I get to invite my friends to write on my blog. Honestly though, I’ve never had any worries and it’s really special to be able to share this experience with friends that are closest to me.

Mandi and I had a ton of mutual friends in college and crossed paths several times through being involved at Seattle University, but were never super close until we both moved to the Bay Area within a couple of months of each other. Since then, her and I have been getting acquainted with our new home and trying our best to explore the city as much as we can! Oh yeah, I’m third-wheeling it with her and her fiance Eric!

As you can imagine, the wedding planning process is extensive and there’s a lot that her and I will be able to talk about on Yow Yow! For us, there is nothing better than being able to document this truly magical journey that we are about to embark on together. To be honest, it is a good job that she has me to help because if you’ve ever planned a wedding before, you will know how much hard work it is. From looking into companies like RPD Limo to hire a beautiful limousine for the occasion, to buying the dress and finding a venue, this is just a handful of tasks that we will be required to undertake before the big day! Though it appears to be hard work looking at it this way, I’m just glad that I can lighten her load.

Together, we’ve come up with a list of topics and I’ve basically given her Wednesdays to be her “Wedding Wednesday” platform since “Wedding Mondays” is already taken. However, we’re both still in the planning process so please don’t expect a post every Wednesday for now because we’d just rather underpromise than over. Tomorrow will be her first post though and we’re both extremely excited! Readers, please extend a very warm welcome to Mandi! She’s going to be here for awhile. 😉
