Hi everyone! We’re back! I missed you!
I thought I would give you all a heads-up… I’m headed to Houston/Austin this week! During the work week, I’ll be in Houston and then come Friday, my coworkers and I will be flying off to Austin for a weekend of non-stop eating, bar-hopping, shopping, and sun! There won’t be any posts while I’m gone, but I promise to write something up when I return so you can see all of the photos and see the places we went. I actually haven’t been excited about a trip like this in a long time. I’ve never been to Texas before or even the south for that matter. It’s always more fun when you can go somewhere new. Plus, one of my favorite college friends, Nicole, is currently living in Austin so it will be nice to see the city through her eyes. It’s her last week before she moves to Dallas. I didn’t get a chance to catch this when it aired last night, but this morning when I woke up all of the blogs were talking about Amy Schumer’s monologue. She was funny, as we all knew that she could be, but she also touched on a pretty serious topic as well which we really appreciated! Congrats to Amy on her first SNL!

Caramel Apple Cookies [Bakers Royale]
Ever since we got back from Milk Jar Cookies in LA last month, all I’ve been thinking about is cookies. I actually have much more of a hankering for desserts during the fall/winter because how great is it when you get to bring your favorite dessert home from a restaurant in a to-go box and you get to eat it on your couch while watching a movie? It’s the best. So anyways, I’m totally craving cookies right now and while I know I could totally bake these myself, I’m most likely not going to end up doing that, but it’s still nice to dream, right?
