Pharrell Gets Interviewed by British Kids

Is this not the most adorable thing you’ve seen in a long time? Can I have a British kid? Pharrell did a press conference for his new book “Happy” and was asked questions by the most darling batch of kids.

Peet’s Coffee & Tea Buys Stumptown

Anytime there’s ever news about an acquisition, there’s always some sort of negative connotation, right? I’ve never actually had Peet’s, but I have heard that what they serve is pretty strong. And Stumptown? Well, that was just a block down from me when I lived in Capitol Hill and went to school. Fun fact: it also played the role of being the setting of my first coffee date! So naturally, it holds a special place in my heart. Stumptown was special to a lot of people though. It was independent, charming, and belonged to the Northwest… and well New York I guess, but still. Since I’ve been in California, I’m obviously not drinking it as much so the change doesn’t have a huge impact, but I’m curious as to how other regulars feel about the acquisition.

Apparently, the change will be kind of subtle. Stumptown won’t be carrying Peet’s products and vice versa, but Peet’s will help give Stumptown more exposure, which I assume will be introducing more Stumptown locations across the country and beyond. That can’t be a terrible thing, right?

Song of the Day

Selena Gomez – Revival

I didn’t really have high hopes for Selena’s album. I liked “Good For You,” but I hated “Same Old Love.” Ugh. However, I wanted to give it a chance so I listened through the Deluxe album last night and found that I only really love “Revival.” However, the last two songs on this album (which aren’t included on the regular album – “Nobody” and “Perfect”) are pretty good as well. Why didn’t these make the cut? I don’t understand. Anyways, I’ve been listening to Revival all day and actually think that some good choreography could probably be paired with it. It will be interesting to see how well her upcoming tour goes. I’m really enjoying watching her whisper through her “Good For You” performances lately.

Cover of the Day

I’ve been listening to Wildest Dreams on repeat since it came out and I didn’t know if I could love another version other than Taylor’s, but I think this one by Kygo and Ella Henderson brings out a new kind of emotion. I’m pretty excited about it.

Dress – Urban Outfitters / Sandals – by Qupid purchased at Moorea Seal boutique in Seattle

Just when we thought we had run out of shooting locations in Mountain View, we came across this gem of a wall. I must’ve worn these sandals 6 out of the 7 days during the week and this was a dress that I bought years ago that I decided to bring back to life. It was tucked away in my closet next to a bunch of other dresses that I hadn’t touched in awhile and at one point, thought that I would donate it. I at least didn’t think it was a good fit for the summer because the fabric feels more like it is for fall and winter, but we made it work. Let’s just call it the dress for all seasons. This scarf was given to me by my mom and I had never worn this all together before, but it’s quite a match isn’t it?
