My Favorite SF Fashion Bloggers

When I had been living in Seattle, I had a handful of bloggers that I looked up to completely. They were my inspiration for daily outfits, new recipes that I would test out on Veronica (sometimes!) and the individuals that I would look to for guidance and advice on how to make it as a college student and survive the adult world. While blogging has been a huge outlet for me as a writer, I feel like I’ve learned just as much from reading what others write. Since moving to the Bay Area, I’ve adapted to following a new set of bloggers. Sure, they still provide that daily inspo for how I should be dressing in my new city, but they do a little more than that. They provide me with ideas of how to enjoy my new city, restaurants that I should be trying out, and how to maintain and keep everything together juggling my work life and a social life instead of social life and a school life like before. I drummed up a list the other day of my favorite SF fashion/lifestyle bloggers and thought I would share it with all of you!

It can be really challenging to keep up with your favorite blogs on a daily basis. These days a lot of bloggers have other accounts that help support their blog on platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter where they have ridiculously large followings. Of course, some might have filled their profile up with bots, making them look better than they really are. The best way to grow you following is always organically, which is why you should read SMGains’ user reviews and other similar reviews before buying your own followers. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with buying followers, but just keep in mind that some of your favourite bloggers might not be as popular as they seem. Still, that’s a good excuse for the regular Instagram user to look into things like how to buy Instagram followers, especially if they want to become influencers themselves. Since I’m constantly on the go, I typically use my apps to keep up to date on my favorte bloggers and consider their tweets and Instagram posts as condensed versions of their blog posts. Here are a few of my favorites:
Lindsey Louie is actually not blogging regularly anymore, but she’s posting every day on her Instagram account. She clearly has a very prominent theme with her photos with everything being monochrome and in neutrals, but she makes even the most basic clothing items very fashionable.
Kate Ogata’s blog The Fancy Pants Report was one of the first SF blogs I discovered when I moved to the Bay Area. Kate has amazing style that I always feel pretty inspired by. While her blog focuses mainly on fashion, her Instagram offers some more variety featuring her meals, stunning sights in San Francisco and her day-to-day activities. Her feed is a great mix!
It was actually one of my friends who introduced me to Toshiko’s blog and it was because she thought that her style was very similar to mine. If there’s one word that I could use to describe her blog and supporting Instagram account, it would be darling. Each photo on her Instagram feed has a white rounded border and everything just seems to be naturally very cute. I also like Toshiko’s blog because it elaborates a lot more than what you can see on her Instagram feed and highlights some of those close-up details of her outfit that we sometimes miss on the Instagram feed.
So we’re cheating a little bit because Ashley’s blog isn’t soley focused on fashion, but that’s one of the reasons why it’s so great. Ashley likes to talk about lifestyle for the most part in addition to style so as you can see from the photo above, she dabbles in a number of topics. I actually prefer it when blogs take this route because it makes you seem more well-rounded and gives your blog some more depth. Ashley has exquisite style anyways in fashion and all the areas where style counts including home decor too.
I’ve been following Erin’s blog Apartment 34 for years and years that could date back to right before I started blogging myself. She came from working in corporate PR and moved her blog to SF after living in Seattle for awhile. Similar to Brunch on Chestnut, Erin doesn’t focus only on fashion, but the same lifestyle themed blog that we see often. I’ve been a long time follower so I’ve gotten to see her blog evolve over the years and seeing her write about some big moments… like having a kid for the first time! Since I’ve been reading Apartment 34 for quite some time, I generally just feel much more attached to her writing and her blog.
