Oscars 2016 Red Carpet

Saoirse Ronan in custom Calvin Klein

*swoon* oh my gosh, isn’t she a vision? I was debating between using Saoirse or Alicia for the first photo of this post, but when it came down to it, I had to pick this one. The sequins, the Emerald green and the s/o to her Irish heritage is absolutely perfect. This is the perfect look for the nominated actress.

Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton.

Everyone is right, she totally looks like Belle our favorite Disney princess in this dress. Normally, I would not have loved the cut and style of this, but this yellow is so so pretty. One of my favorite bloggers didn’t love this look so much and remarked that it looked like staples all over her dress, but I don’t see it. I think it’s great!

Daisy Ridley wearing Chanel Haute Couture

Olivia Wilde wearing Valentino Couture with Jason Sudeikis

Her body is bangin’! This isn’t my favorite look because it feels like a lot of pleating to me, but I do like this choker she has on.

Mindy Kaling in Elizabeth Kennedy

Er… There’s a whole lot that is not right with this look.

A skinny Sam Smith in Dunhill

Sofia Vergara wearing custom Marchesa

I can always sort of predict what kind of style Sofia’s going to wear on the red carpet, but at least she is someone that always knows what works.

Jacob Tremblay in the smallest Armani suit ever.

Kelly Ripa in Dennis Basso. Girl, what you doin’ here!

Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad

Pleasantly surprised by this look! I kind of love it actually because it reminds me so much of spring/summer and the white lace is always very elegant. It completely stands on its own on the red carpet. Priyanka did good with this.

Eddie Redmayne and wife Hannah Bagshawe both wearing Alexander McQueen. This dress is awesome. Also, she’s pregnant and totally nailin’ it with this look.

Naomi Watts wearing Armani Prive

She may not always be nominated every year, but she goes to every award show and ever look is just flawless. Word on the street is that Liev actually chose this dress when she was deciding. I’m in love with this, how can we not be?

Olivia Munn’s new face and same old body wearing Stella McCartney

The orange is a nice change, but against the red – it’s a little hard on the eyes.

Common in Dolce & Gabbana

Heidi Klum wearing Marchesa

There’s quite a few people saying this is one of the best looks of the night and I couldn’t disagree more. Her body look great, but I would’ve loved to see her in something more form fitting like the dress Naomi wore. I’m getting the whole princessy vibe from this and I just don’t like it.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy Haute Couture

Pretty and so very Roonery, but gagh! that posture… just makes the dress completely hang on her in a not so good way.

Brie Larson in Gucci

BRIE! BRIE! She’s completely sweeping award season and the best dressed on the red carpet. We’re so happy that she took home the award tonight – she’s so deserving of it.

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher in Marchesa

Margot Robbie wearing Tom Ford

… and looking amazing! For two years in a row now, she has killed it on the Oscars Red Carpet. Long-sleeved dresses on her totally work.

Jennifer Garner wearing Rene Caovilla

Chrissy Teigen in Marchesa

Beautiful!

Julianne Moore wearing Chanel Haute Couture

!!! We’re loving this! Julianne never disappoints us because no matter what her age is, she constantly pushes the boundaries and goes outside of the box of what people just expect her to wear.

Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive

Rachel McAdams wearing August Getty Atelier

Another emerald green dress! How much did you love this?! Also, okay – when I saw that both her and Ryan Gosling were both at the show, a part of me was all “can they just get back together?” 🙁

She was flawless.

Kerry Washington in Atelier Versace

Tina Fey in Versace

Reese Witherspoon is Oscar de la Renta

These two purple gowns bring NOTHING to the table!

Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell

She may not have taken home that award, but nothing was more powerful than that performance. We were left in a puddle of our own tears tonight, but oh my goodness, this was such a huge stand for survivors and so incredible.

Charlize being all effortless in Dior Haute Couture

A pregnant Emily Blunt wearing Prada!

Kate Winslet in Ralph Lauren

What is this material?

Leo in Giorgio Armani

Tom Hardy wearing Chanel w/ Charlotte Riley.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture

LOVE this. Surprisingly though, not everyone is talking about this look. I’m actually happy that Jennifer didn’t win tonight so that Brie could. Jennifer is beautiful and she’s a good actress, knows how to dress, but sometimes when she opens her mouth, we kind of wish… that… she wouldn’t. Is it just me or does it always sound like word vomit? I love this look on her though especially because not a lot of women chose to wore black tonight, most go for a bright and bold color, but this is no ordinary black dress.
