Starbucks to Open 20,000 SQ Foot Location in New York

BIG news. Starbucks is opening a 20,000 square-foot location in New York in 2018. Just wrap your head around that for a second. This will be the largest location out of all their stores – even out of the gazillion locations in Seattle and that’s where they are originally from. I just went to New York a few weeks ago for the first time and I remember Mandi telling me that New York just isn’t known for its coffee. I had a latte at Donut Plant that I liked, but for some reason just like I thought Seattle was the hub for coffee, I thought New York would be the same. I even got a drink at Starbucks when I was there and it was kind of awful and made me miss the one I go to regularly in the Bay Area. Hopefully, this new location won’t disappoint though. This location will be the second version of the Roastery located in Capitol Hill and will essentially be the East Coast version of it.

By the way, if you haven’t stop by for a visit, it is stunning. You don’t need to spend too much time there, but there’s a lot to see and it’s one of the fancier locations in the entire Seattle area. The New York City Roastery will live in a new building that is currently in construction in Chelsea.
