Bill Maher Interviews President Obama

I am really going to miss President Obama.

And at the end of my Saturday night, watching this interview is very soothing. Herman Yung said exactly what I was feeling about this video:

Barack Obama has such a soothing voice. It’s like listening to radio. Have you tried to listen to Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump talk for an extended period of time? It’s impossible. Obama on the other hand — this is a guy I can probably listen to for a long time.

I feel like the election has stretched for a long time, but at the same time, it has also felt very fast. I haven’t always shared my political views on Yow Yow! and I still don’t think that it’s very necessary to do so today. I clearly have a view, right? But Yow Yow! has never leaned very heavily on anything regarding to politics. Yow Yow! has been through one election though when I was a senior in college and even then – we were pretty quiet. With regards to politics, I’ve done the bare minimum. I registered in California because my friend pretty much did it for me. I’ve watched the debates. I participate in viewing what other people have to say on Twitter and I retweet the things that are election-related that make me laugh. There are a lot of them!

I can’t really say why I’ve never had the passion for politics the way my own friends do. I actually admire them for it because they get very riled up and they very clearly have a stance about anything and everything and they can hold their own in any conversation. It’s pretty remarkable to watch. So we’ll be watching Tuesday of course because I don’t think there’s anything more important than that, but for now, we’re just going to enjoy this last bit of President Obama.
