Farewell, REDEFINE

Sometime after Yow Yow! was born, my brother had connected me to a young woman named Vivian Hua. She ran her own music and arts magazine and I thought she was a badass. I had already been writing for Yow Yow! on the side, but I HAD to be a part of her project and what she was doing. Through REDEFINE, I covered Capitol Hill Block Party and Bumbershoot both back in 2012. They were my very first press passes ever and soon after that allowed me to pave the way for my own press passes for Yow Yow! REDEFINE wasn’t the first place that I had seen my name in a byline before, but it was the first place that truly meant something to me. I was able to combine my love for both writing and music into one and it was exciting. My stint with REDEFINE as a contributing writer only lasted a year, but it was a fun experience to say the least. We were super pumped to check off another box within music.

Thank you Vivian for giving this opportunity to me and many writers and we wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors!
