The Every Girl

Sweater and Shorts – Brandy Melville / Booties – Munro (Nordstrom)

When I was younger, I was very proud to be a girly girl. I liked wearing dresses and skirts and not getting dirty. I didn’t care if I could hang with the boys because I had my girls. However, as we’ve aged and we’ve experienced a little bit more life, our views have sort of shifted. I’m still wearing dresses and skirts, but we don’t mind if there’s an edge to us. See how these are booties and not your predictable wedges? This isn’t the greatest example, but even as I get older, I’m trying to see how I can incorporate more masculine items into my wardrobe or even my home. Yes, someday I will have to share a home with my husband and it’d be nice if it were a reflection of the both of us. 🙂 Also, you may not know this unless you follow me on Instagram, but I also love shopping at men’s boutiques. There aren’t always items tailored to me, but I like styling my guy friends and picking out things for them and getting inspiration from other products.
