Madewell has held a very special place in my heart since they first opened up their store at University Village back in 2010. I was a college student then and still figuring out my own style after coming out of my “scene” phase in high school. I liked J. Crew because it was where my mom and Kevin had shopped and naturally, wanted to feel as cool as they were. But the truth was that I could never truly identify with J. Crew. The clothes felt stiff to me – too sophisticated – and didn’t match the vibe that I was going for. Madewell opening was everything I was looking for. Good denim – fitted chambray shirts – youthful prints and colors that fit my age and who I was. We’ve had a love affair with Madewell for the last seven years so this next piece of news that we’re about to share was next level in our relationship with the retailer. Announced this week, Madewell was now launching an intimates line. American Eagle has done it. So has Abercrombie. We’re also huge fans of Aritzia’s line of bralettes so why not Madewell?
The range consists of 42 pieces — 16 bralettes and 26 bottoms in a variety of sweet colorways — and is priced from $12.50 to $32.
Comfort is key when it comes to the pieces in Madewell’s new intimates line and this doesn’t stray too far from their already super comfortable and cozy apparel collections. Here are some things that we’re already lusting for and may or may not purchase for ourselves as a Valentine’s Day gift:
