“Disillusionment of 10 Point Font”

[vimeo http://vimeo.com/217657829]

I really love projects like these and something that drew me to “Disillusionment of 10 Point Font” was that it involved both visual and sound. Watching this video was incredibly satisfying and I almost wished it could have been longer. Also, watching this reminded me of that one video full of unsatisfying moments, which reminded me of Veronica. I know she’s going to like this one! This short film was done by Greg Condon.

She Wore What: Pippa Middleton’s Wedding Day

It happened! Pippa Middleton is a married lady and the bride wore a couture Giles Deacon gown for her special day. I’m in love with this – the high neck, allover lace, and overall silhouette. This is such a modern take on classic and elegance. Pippa and Kate are two sisters with very good taste. As you may remember, after Kate wore her long-sleeved Alexander McQueen wedding dress, it became the next IT dress of wedding seasons for the next year. I definitely expect the same trend to follow with Pippa’s wedding style as well.

How cute is George?! (Second from right)

Fifth Harmony, Who?

There was no question at all that Camila wasn’t going to come out strong upon leaving Fifth Harmony. If there was a question, it was going to be how quickly she could rise to the potential she always had as a solo artist. And now we know. I’ve been obsessed with “Love Incredible” since it came out and even though it was more Cashmere Cat’s song than hers, I still wondered why it wasn’t more of a chart topper. I didn’t care for the song she did with Pitbull or “Bad Things” or “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” but “Crying in the Club” is such a bop. It makes the Selena Gomez track that was released one day before look like child’s play. What’s great about the music video for “Crying in the Club” is that it also previews “I Have Questions” – a new song that she’ll be performing for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards. I feel for Fifth Harmony, I really do, but this was inevitable. Camila was just born to be a star in her own right and now she gets to do that.

When You’re Northwest

Jacket + Leggings  – Aritzia / Hoodie – American Apparel (RIP) / Sneakers – Nike

While most locals would say that gloomy days in the Bay Area are in the worst, I kind of welcome it! It reminds me of home and instead of feeling unbearably hot all day, I can layer up and stay cozy all day long. This outfit that I wore this day was so completely Northwest of me and we didn’t hate it. I bought this American Apparel hoodie back when I was in high school and still wear it to this day. I’m also never going to let this jacket go. You’ve all seen this a million times.

Wedding Mondays

Over time, keeping up with Wedding Mondays has become more and more challenging for several reasons. It takes some time to sift through the wedding blogs that I love to see if there are any videos featured in the posts from the previous week. Secondly, over time, my bar has gotten kind of high. The good thing is that hopefully we’re showcasing more wedding videos that you like or that are new to you and inspire you like they do for me. The hard part is that some weeks there aren’t any videos I want to feature. I’ve gotten to be okay with that over the years, but there’s a part of me that gets irritate when I can’t share something consistently every week.

All it took was a second. That first note in TRACE’s “Honey” and I was completely sucked in. Then came the desert shots and the personalized vows all set to the sounds of “Honey.” I was so glad that it wasn’t Walk the Moon or any other cliche wedding song because it just would have felt out of place. Hopefully, you’ll love this as much as I do!

Unfortunately, I can’t embed the video, but you can view it here and the rest of the feature on Green Wedding Shoes.
